it's possible that this controller, along with the "banana/boomerang" PS3 controller, may only be prototypes and therefore, will not be the final design for the controller (i hope). if the controller pictured IS the final design...well... i guess i'll stick with my old systems then

It can't be as bad as those one-handed playstation controllers lik-sang sells.

Frankly, I like the new controller. Just like werD said: I slash, Link slashes. I can only imagine the possibilities with the new controller. It also works great when you lose. Just beat the crap out of the other player with the controller nunchaku style. Oh, don't forget to give a Bruce Lee pose and warcry afterward.

OK, I changed my mind now you said that... I'm sold too! ;D Now who wants to be the first person to provide video or picture evidence of them doing this to an unsuspecting victim? Kaz

It's defenitly something different, but that's not a bad thing perse. I'm just gonna wait with my opinion untill i can play some games with it.

Im looking forward to this aswell (wonder if twilight princess will be released with it?). I saw the advert where as someone said when I slash link slashes (dunno if you have all seen the advert). I saw a few on there where you just tap the controller up and mario jumps. I dont know if any of you have noticed aswell (i think ive already said this) but if you tilt the controller 90degrees to the left it looks like an old nintendo pad (could you use the pad this way?)

My first assumption when I first saw the controller way back was that it COULD be tilted on it's side and used conventionally. Perhaps they should have looked at including 4 buttons in a diamond arrangement SNES/PS2 style instead of just the measly 2 down there?

Some interesting news for you: my mate works for a software firm (that will go unnamed) and they've gotten themselves a Revolution in. Apparently, YES the pad can be turned on it's side and used like a normal control pad, BUT he also said the pad does feel somewhat small for western hands.

LOL, they only make the games, they probably have as much of an idea about release schedules for hardware as we do. Heck, since they make games, they probably barely know when their own products will hit shelves!

The Nintendo Revolution looks very tempting as a game system. Affordable price, not so "reaching for the stars" specs (I heard on a few websites the Rev. can support Quake 4), and the controller isn't that bad of an idea either. The only concern I have for the revolution is whether or not fighting games would be ported to the system. Judging by the controls of the remote itself (Not just the remote they made, apparently they're going to develop a controller with a docking station for the remote) will it have enough buttons for one?
I'll tell you one thing though, if KOFXI came out for the Revolution, I'd be all over it like white on rice.
