Reggie shows the Game Boy Micro. Says "I know you haven't seen this. It's a hair bigger and two-thirds the weight of an iPod Mini." It's not new technology, but a new look and has the "best and brightest screen ever in a handheld." Not a successor to DS or GBA, but an extension of portable play. The system can be customized with a wide array of face plates and will hit this fall.

Yeah possibly is fake, but I guess we'll see. Still waiting for some officially confirmed pictures, although people were saying the PS3 pics looked photoshopped.

That rumour I mentioned in the other thread about some kind of new Gameboy from Nintendo was half true then I guess.

That picture definitely is real, that's confirmed now. I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard it's basically a redesigned GBA with a smaller but much brighter and better screen.....? Sounds kinda weird... the thing looks like a NES pad with a screen to me

Then, Reggie took a small iPod-like thingy out of his jacket and showed to the crowd what's now to be called GameBoy MICRO. The name comes from the extremely reduced dimensions and weight (3 times lighter than iPod!). It plays GBA games and is not meant at replacing the SP, which will stay in production and available on store shelves worldwide. Design will be customizable with a complete array of faceplates to be introduced along the little gadget. It's coming this fall, expanding further the handheld line-up of Nintendo.

Nintendo of America revealed the next generation console, code-named Revolution at the press conference. Revolution is about the size of three DVD cases, with no visible knobs, buttons or ports for joysticks; it will be compatible with only wireless controllers. The console can be placed flat or vertically like Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.

Revolution uses a front-loading slot for discs, it accepts full size DVDs for Revolution games and DVD movies); as well as mini-DVDs for backward compatibility with GameCube.

Nintendo will offer full broadband access and free online player matching service for Revolution; the company is also planning to offer downloadable versions of classic Nintendo games, ranging from arcade classics like Donkey Kong to current GameCube titles like Super Mario Sunshine. It is still undetermined the price point for downloadable games.

I wish Nintendo would have made sure to have some software to show along with the Revolution. Most people don't care how sleek or compact a system is but the new games it will have. I'm very disapointed with Nintendo atm.

There's a lot of things I like the sound of with the Revolution, but I'm not overly excited about it right now. At the minute I'd say I'm easily more in favour of the PS3, then the Xbox 360, and then Revolution. Being the way I am. I'll probably get one though... but probably not at launch.

I just watched the Nintendo confrence at E3 and this looks ALOT more promising than the Xbox 360

Edit: The official size when released will be the same size as 3 DVD's stacked together (whoa)
