Bored so I thought I'd bump this again Listening to right now: Tristania - Beyond the Veil Tristania - World of Glass Tristania - Ashes All three albums are cool as hell, but it really does depend on your musical tastes. It's kinda black/gothic metal, they have three singers... oh and the female singer in the band is hot as hell! ;D Check out their track called "Shadowman" if you can, it's amazing. It's from the album ashes, which I'd say is their most accessible/mainstream album for those not into this kind of music. Also listening to Lacuna Coil's newest album "Karmacode". Kaz

All of Dragonforce's albums and the new Tool Album 10,000 Days which has one of the stupidist and coolest package designs I've ever seen.

I've been listening to the new Tool for a while but i had one of my friends pick me up a copy when he got his today. The packaging is the best i've seen yet from them but the actual music... Well, coming from them it's quite disappointing to me but still a shit load better then anything else released recently. What do you think Raiken?

Been listening to Babylon by Skindred quite a bit lately. I saw them play at a club in Bournemouth a few weeks back and it was one of the best gigs I've seen in a long time. A great ragga/metal act that deserves to be heard live.
Anyone who got one of the first batch of the Xbox 360s may find a couple of their tracks pre-loaded onto the HD.

The new Red Hot Chilli Peppers album ;D is pretty dam good! I've only just listened to one of the discs but i gotta agree. I wish the vocals weren't so overpowering in the mix though.

I prefer it when they do heavier stuff like Vicarious but the albums overall laid back feel is cool with me. It reminds me of Maynard's other band A Perfect Circle which I like a lot. Definitly agree about it being better then most other stuff that's been released these days.

Didn't they do a track for Need For Speed Underground 2? Sounds familiar... The new Tool is quite cool, although I think the instrumental "filler" tracks are a bit of a waste. Gotta say though, I love The Pot, that's a great track Kaz

Gotta say though, I love The Pot, that's a great track At first i didn't like the vocals (being so akward) but the band is really amazing on that track. Even though i think only a few songs on the album are on the same level of complexity as their past work, just those tracks are enough to justify a purchase from me. About that new RHCP album, i'm supprised by how much i'm really diggin' it. (The vocalist still annoys me sometimes)

Just did a quick wiki search. Their track 'Nobody' was in NFSU2 (I only really played the first one), which is the first track of the Babylon album.
Being stuck in a moshpit whilst everyone was singing "nobody gets out alive" is an experience I won't forget for a long time! ;D

Being stuck in a moshpit whilst everyone was singing "nobody gets out alive" is an experience I won't forget for a long time! ;D Sounds like fun! My best moshpit experience was when I saw God Forbid (supporting Machine Head)... got knocked over twice when a circle pit formed, which is new to me cos I usually manage to stay on my feet! Was because I was diving about and running in one direction around the outside of the circle, and some guy about twice my size decided to turn around and I went straight into him... I doubt he even felt it but I feckin did I'll say that much. Then like 2 mins later I went down again... came back with a few bruises, but all in all a fun gig! ;D Listening to Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire at the mo. Not the sort of music I would ever listen to really, but I have always thought of it as a classic, even more so now that it has kinda been adopted as a Liverpool theme song (always fun to hear 30,000 fans chanting the "der der der der der der der derrrrrr" part! . The team are now releasing their own version for charity in the next week or so... will be interesting to hear how it sounds! ;D Kaz

I remember ending up in a moshpit when I saw Sepultura at the 1999 Big Day Out at Milton Keynes. That was probably the most intense one I've been in (and was only my second), particualry since I was surrounded by a group of fans, most of who were built like brick outthouses and a clear foot taller than me. Falling over was a physical impossibility, and the only way out...crowd surfing of course! beware the dangers of footballers and music!
