I've yet to play rondo of blood. I've never heard anything less than great about it, but I lack the hardware and my odds of tripping over the cdrom drive in the states are slim. The saturn SOTN is my current favorite castlevania, but everybody else seems to think rondo is better. is it just because its hard to find?
well I'm now over 12 hours into Mazes of Fate, and the plot has really opened up and started twisting on itself. The dungeons have gone from tiny, to medium, and now huge. My character hasn't seen daylight in 4 hours, and he can't go back way he came because his position has been overrun by the goatman army.
Right now the game seems to be relying heavily on word of mouth. It's just too late to release a gba game like this, everybody has moved on to other systems. The tiny publisher hasn't managed to get the title on a single store shelf, and while copies were sent to all major magazines, not one has yet reviewed the title. As it stands, the game is only available through ebay and amazon. And I've been watching the ebay quantity available, and it's only sold 25 or so. Quite a shame, since I feel this is one of the top 5 rpgs on the system. maybe it's a top 3, but I haven't gotten far enough to say, and the massive levels are starting to tax me a bit.
At least it's gaining popularity with the *ahem* 'try before you buy' crowd.

Now I need to find the Capcom Remix disc with all the Power Stone games on it Also playing Elder Scrolls Oblivion and GTR2 on the PC.

This looks doubtful as they've done the Powerstone Collection for PSP that has both Powerstone 1 & 2 on it. A PS2 release of this would be pretty cool. It seems like most of these collections end up on PSP. It's a pity that the Metal Slug anthology is PSP/wii only, particularly since that'll be the only way to play Metal Slug 6 in Europe as far as i'm aware. I second that one. Bastards indeed! That would have been worth the price of the disc alone. SoR2 is one of my favourites. Currently playing Zelda Ocarina of Time on GC (want to finish it before playing Twilight Princess), Gears of War (versus mostly) and Prey on the pc. (well...in what little time I have to play at the mo anyway ;D )

I've been playing an RTS for the PC called Company of Heroes lately. Good Times.
I'm almost done with "Oracle of Ages" I've been enjoying the Gameboy Zelda games more then the console 2d Zelda games.

Blazing star for me. Can't believe how badly I start to suck about half way through the 3rd stage...

Blazing star totally rocks. I can usually make it to the 3rd stage one one life too, but rarely make it to the 4th without continue.
for some reason mine's been forgetting to save high scores. I have one saved in there (that I set) but I know I've beaten it at least 3 times. Maybe I should play another game after beating the HS and not turn it off so soon after name entry.
I think I'll swap blazing star into the machine today. I've got the day off and KoF99 in there now. I love the heck out of that game, and I think it's worth the $15 to hunt up a copy of '98. I always liked '98 too. I still can't put my finger on why I don't like MOTW so much. maybe it's just because i paid 3x more for it than the other games I've been getting so I'm harder on it.
On the GBA front I beat Mazes of Fate in just a hair over 20 hrs. wonderful game, it's only serious problem is that it ended. I may write up a reader review of it on IGN. None of the 'pros' seem to want to review it. I'm actually so bummed that it's over that I've been putting the homebrew rogue clones on my gba (there are 4) in a weak attempt to satisfy my dungeon crawling needs.

reaperman It shouldnt matter when you turn the game off, once you put the score in it should hold it. Is this happening in other games and or the Bios settings ? If so then its time to replace the battery on the mobo, also the bios will ony hold saved scores/game settings for 8 games at a time so as you play different games it will over wright the oldest entry each time its a different game. Basically you need to keep the game in a rotation to keep youre scores, which sucks but atleast its not 2 or 3 games

no, other games and bios settings seem to be saved. And the scores saved for Blazing star are mine, it just doesn't like to save my new score whenever I beat that one. It's temporarily discouraged me from playing that game, since I'm pretty sure I've doubled it.
Tonight I'll test new saves with something that I probably don't have a high score saved on anymore. puzzle bobble or something. or I'll turn some blood off or something in a game and see if it saves.

Alien Hominid. I'd been a big fan of the GBA game for a while, and I just bought the Gamecube version. I still can't play it for squat, but it sure is nice to look at.
I wish more games were like it. Built from the ground up just to be fun. It's not a stretch to call it better than the average metal slug game. The 'pure chaos' factor and the 'insane, cheap, credit-eating boss factor' are far higher. I really like the animation style too. I can get up to the 'freeway bee.' OMG, *that* is a boss.
makes me want to pick the GBA one up again. (for it's better fun/system power ratio) and oddly it reminded me of that GBA lilo and stitch game, which I also have to give another try.
