I haven't even finished Metroid Prime yet and I just bought a copy of Metroid Prime 2. Only paid £12 for it but hell knows when I'm going to be able to play it. Too many games, not enough time!
I'm sure I'll be playing a bit of Gears of War tomorrow though. I've been looking forward to that title for a while now, after I saw that it seems to play a lot like the namco PS2 game Kill.switch (use of cover, blindfire etc), which was cool imo.

Gears of War looks amazing. I wish Microsoft didn't pay off folks to make it a 360 exclusive. I was hoping to play it on my pc. (back when it was announced for both)

Been playing Gears of War quite a bit. I'm throughly enjoying it. Had to play it on 'hardcore' difficulty as on normal the enemies are a bit dense. On hardcore they attempt to outsmart and outflank you (often successfully). Very intense and a great challenge, plus frequent checkpoints add to a 'one-more go' factor. Co-op online is also awesome, particualry when you and a friend work together with cover fire and flanking tactics. oh, and the graphics are quite good too

how is the xbox 360? I've been thinking about getting one in the next couple months. I'm not much of an FPS fan, and I don't like online play, but is there anything good outside of those genres yet? (I'm not a hater or anything, I do luv my xbox).
my spider-sense tells me that there will be a price drop and/or a pack-in title this xmas. And there are a couple good titles on the horizon: Forza2 and Space Giraffe, but I'm not getting too many good vibes of much else on any "next gen" system.

I couldnt agree with you more dude Except I thought the Origional X-Box was marginal at best as games went, though it was worth it for Forza alone and anything else decent was a bonus. Its probably going to be Forza 2 that gets me to buy the 360 beacuse so far the content just doesnt look worth the entry price. Same old crap on a new system That and if you own a decent PC then like myself its hard to be a console shooter fan, so they add no value to a new console as games go.

I wasn't too interested in the 360 at first, though I usually think that new consoles are never too great in their first year whilst developers are still trying to get to grips with hardware whilst 'playing safe' with launch titles. Now the console's market has matured, hopefully it looks like there's more interesting titles now. Also, price drops usually occur after first year too (as with the 360)
I got one recently as there are a few titles that I'm interested in now, as well as online play with friends who also have them (plus getting the 360 works out cheaper than upgrading my PC for now - it's kinda mid-spec at the mo - but it plays BF 2142 well so I'm happy for now). I'm hooked on Gears of War and Dead Rising at the mo and the upcoming Forza 2, Bioshock and Lost Planet do look very impressive (the LP E3 demo is great). The online play has been working very well too, with much less lag than expected. I'll probably get a PS3 or Wii at some stage too, but it will be quite some time after launch for the above reasons.

I decided i'm going to replay all the zelda games except 2. (didn't care for that style of gameplay) I'm halfway through the first one already.

Mazes of Fate on GBA. wonderful game, picks you right up and kills hours of your life. It's a first person RPG, and I've never liked one of those before in my life, but this one moves very quickly and before I knew it I lost an hour and a half of my life, and I don't think I've scratched the 'real' plot yet. the plot's loose like a PC rpg, but it feels like the whole game is on fast-forward thanks to short travel times. 3 seconds to get across town, and three seconds to get to the next town over. The only downsides I've seen so far are 1. errand boy missions (travel is so rapid these aren't bad at all) 2. puzzles are a bit annoying at times (find the key, go here) 3. it's too damn easy. I haven't died yet and I've only healed once. overall it's just what I needed to get over my body's painful rejection of FFV. Very nice to see good original games this late in gba's lifecycle. link: www.mazesoffate.com

Just finished Castlevania Rondo of Blood, The Legend of Zelda, & BS Zelda.
I think the original Zelda might be my new fav. 2d Zelda. I've still got the Oracle gbc games to play and Links Awakening to replay though.
Rondo of Blood was kinda fun but it reminded me that the Super Metroid influence in the recent Castlevania games is really what makes the series appeal to me.
