shin shinobi den on the saturn for me. Damn, i'm reminded of how much i always wanted a saturn. Haha, it's a great system. If you come across a Japanese one cheap don't hesitate to pick it up! Although some will argue, I believe that shin shinobi den is easily the best in the series. I think everyone should try it once.

Last Blade and Blazing Star on the MVS.
there's a virtual boy rental unit I thriftstored and keep repeatedly "testing" vertical force on it. (I plan to sell the unit eventually)
about a week ago I dug up an old video projector with feet on the side--and last night I brought my dreamcast back from work. I'm hoping to play Ikaruga 'the right way' today. I was never able to get into it before.

Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance/Aria of Sorrow double pack for my GBA. Good stuff. The latter is so much better than the former that it's almost ridiculous though.
Before that I played Need for Speed Underground 2 for the Cube (much more solid conversion than the one for PS2 btw) which they were shelling for practically free over here now that Carbon was coming. Surprisingly addictive even though my interest in cars never stretched beyond watching "Pimp my Ride" whenever it's on.
On the Neo it's been Real Bout Special all the way lately.

(I plan to sell the unit eventually) Are you one of those people (like me) who actually prefer Last Blade 1 over it's succcessor or is it just because Last Blade 2 isn't in the bag yet? Also the Virtual Boy is a cool machine, one of my friends had it so I could try several games for it, but the somewhat distorted image and unorthodox controller layout makes for a "rough" playing experience I think. It's a great novelty item though!

Are you one of those people (like me) who actually prefer Last Blade 1 over it's succcessor or is it just because Last Blade 2 isn't in the bag yet? I emulated both heavily up until I won my last blade auction. 2 things sold me on last blade one: Kaede's stage with the red leaves and ship, and that it cost me $15 shipped. I'm sure the differences between 1&2 are *far* deeper than I was looking, but I'm not nearly at a high enough level to notice and it's really hard to argue with $15. I'll probably eventually get last blade two, but it didn't really strike me as any improvement. level wise some of LB2's kind of bugged me, and I know it's petty, but I hate the menu. (helluva intro though) Last Blade 2 left my 'must have' list when I got LB. I'll probably start FF5 today. truthfully I've never finished it before so this should be an experience. anybody know when FF6 will hit on gba? I don't much care for the new style of square/enix games, so it's good that they at least keep the old ones around. but I would kill for a proper new FF or dragon warrior game on gba.

After analyzing the hell out of 'em both, i think that the original LB's engine is more solid. Also, it seems more balanced to me. I do love LB 2 though; i wish the first game had Hibiki.

FF 5 is fun but the story if very ridiculous compared to the excellent ones in IV & VI imo. I'd love to see a new GBA FF game as well but Square-Enix certianly knows how to milk the hell outta its franchises to the point where i'd bet my life on not seeing a completely new FF or DW game on the GBA or DS. Also, i've pretty much given up on decent new FF games on the home consoles. (after all the PS2 FF games) Atleast Dragon Warrior 8 was so good that it gave me hope for Square-Enix. Imagine a new Chrono Trigger game with the same team that worked on DW 8.... It will probably remain a dream.

Blazing lazers on the TG16 and shin shinobi den on the saturn for me. Wow, I used to love that game! We had a Turbo Gfx at my old work, and when there were no customers me and my boss used to play it all the time. My boss was insanely good at it funnily enough... and he hated video games otherwise! I'm playing PSO Universe at the moment, but patiently waiting until it's out here in the UK officially so I can get a Hunters License and play online. Going to pick Metal Slug 6 back up again soon, although with all the work I've done on the site recently (see the news page or the what happened thread in urelated!), I suddenly feel like playing Pulstar again. I'll be quite lame at it now cos I haven't played in ages (so I'll have forgotten all the enemy patterns), so maybe I should setup the webcam so you guys can watch me swear at the TV? Kaz

Kaz Yup, awesome game. I'm still working on one-lifing it though, level 7 is a bitch near the end.
