I've spent the last 30 minutes looking for a decent ngpc forum - looks like i've found one!.
cost me £34 from ebay. so far i'm well impressed with it.
i got these games with it:
Fatal Fury: First Contact Bust A Move Pocket Pocket Tennis Colour Sonic Adventure
and bought these on another auction:
King Of Fighters R2 Faselei!
Couple of questions:
can you get lights for it or mod it in any way to include a light? I have to sit under the brightest light in the house to see the screen properly.
also, can you recommend any good games for it?

Nice! NGPC is always worth buying As for the light, NYKO's Worm light is probably the only light device (that I know of) for the NGPC. As for games, these are definitely recommended: SNK VS CAPCOM : Match of the Millenium SNK VS CAPCOM : Cardfighters Clash Gal Fighters The Last Blade

as far as lights, there used to be people who used the 'afterburner' kit in it. back before the gba had a lit screen the afterburner was a frontlight kit that was installed inside the actual gba case--but it worked as well for ngp/ngpc.
the down side, was that being a 'frontlight' a piece of film was installed directly over the lcd. this tended to wash out the colors. (see one of the old gba-sp units compared to one of the backlit gbas). you get used to it, but you will always be aware that it is there.
You've got some good games, I also recommend: Picture Puzzle Neo Geo Cup '98 Neo Turf Masters
from those you'd think I was a sports nerd, but I'm really not, they're just good games. and picture puzzle, like all paint by number games, will steal your life for weeks. IMO picture puzzle is the best game on the system, but it's not quite as good as Mario Picross 2 on GB.

I remember someone on the neo-geo forums saying he was in the process of making a back-lit screen but I don't know if the project was dropped or not. Here's my picks for games: Card Fighters Clash (SNK Version, it seems easier to me) Neo Turf Masters Biomotor Unitron (fairly shallow, but decent for the price nonetheless) And if you're into puzzle games (they're kinda pricey): Puyo Pop Delta Warp

They do look like crap when compared to the GBA with the Afterburner but something is better than nothing I guess.
