Yeah this game looks interesting..... more so then 2002!
reasons why i want to play this game are because saishu is in the game....... that is all!
question: if anyone played neowave, i would like to know if there is a "stage select" when you are fighting in verses mode? or does it randomly select a stage for you?
i hate not having a stage select cuz part of the fun is choseing what background you want!
PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER MY QUESTION!

Bad news: it just randomly selects a stage. I do agree really, it's always nice to have a stage select in there, but no luck here... game is still worth it though. Nothing major new but it's still keeping me busy while I wait for NGBC and KOF XI etc  Kaz |

does anyone like the music for NeoWave? Cause it is ok Not as much as 2k2. The only stage with music i like is the one with the moon in the bg. The character select music rivals 3s for the most horrible of all time to me. |

The backgrounds are nice, especially the temple stage set in the nighttime, the BGM is cool as well,
But the backgrounds are almost devoid of any cameos
except geese's level which is very similar to geese's stage when u fight him in AOF2.
I also agree the character select screen music is annoying.
but it is a solid game, easier to execute moves and the artwork is really nice.

k1701 you are right the character select screen music is annoying as hell I can't stand it the only two music that I like from it is the dark and techno runner

I also agree with your favourite music tracks for neowave, I bought the soundtrack without even playing the game!! ;D
Normally KOF games are fairly common here in arcades in Trinidad,but i never saw neowave here . SS and MS very common here!
Guess its because of the switch from MVS to atomiswave hardware.
the only atomiswave games i have seen here are demolish fist,rumble fish and a light gun game(name escapes me at the moment)
The character select screen is the annoying type of music that sticks in your head.
I hope KOF XI's music is gonna be cool

Don't worry k1701 the music in KOF XI is damn awsome I like it more than neowave even if I have never play it but I download the gameplay of KOF XI and the music is well damn good better than 2002 and 97

Thanks zeroprime, KOF XI looks sweet, I also downloaded some gameplay videos and music sounds way better than neowave and 2001, About damn time the brought back the ninja Eiji(AOF 2 fame) who was in KOF 95. I liked the remixes of the classic yuri, iori, terry themes for 2002. Despite 97 only having music for certain characters, the ambient sounds which were in the games was interesting. I really hope to play KOF XI in the arcades here in Trinidad. Yeah, a chuckie cheese's has neowave and a there isnt one in trinidad, wayyy lame  |

KOF 2001's music wasnt bad, I was kinda thrown off by the music style, experimental when compared to other KOF music. Some of the standout themes for 2001 IMHO are the themes for the Fatal Fury , Ikari Warriors and the boss fight against ZERO and also the intro music.

KOF 99's soundtrack is OK, IMHO The tunes are mostly new ones not instant classics like the AOF and Psycho Soldier themes of 95 and 98, But the standout IMHO is the final boss krizalid's BGM. The music mixed with hydraulics and movement of heavy machinery and computer sounds is way cool!! I have neowave on PS2. It is the japanese import,I got Swapmagic disc and tool kit to play it. I gave up waiting to play it in the arcade . Also, the Jap PS2 is getting alot of shooter and fighting game love this days(KOF Orochi,Neowave, 94 Rebout,SS tenka,NGBC,LB 1-2, Spectral VS Generation,Ibara, Homura, Raiden 3.............. ;D |
