Hey guys, I just made an account here but I'm not really THAT new to Neo Geo games. I've been playing all the Samurai Shodown games at my local arcade, and games like World Heroes, Metal Slug, King of Fighters 96-2003, Top Hunter, League Bowling ect..
A few years back after deciding I wasn't going to pay for an AES system, I bought a Neo Geo 4 Slot Cab from a local arcade nearby. I have KOF 2003, SS 3, and 1(Getting 2 soon, my favorite one) and I have all the games mentioned above as well as Fatal Fury and The Super Spy. Oh, and The Last Blade is coming in next week. My real question is, should I buy Mark Of The Wolves for MVS? I've been looking everywhere and have recently struck a deal for $50.
Is this too much? Or is it just THAT good of a game? I've only played it on an emulator once.
Anyone?

welcome to the forums. Nice MVS collection you have.
Without too much doubt, MOTW is the prettiest game on the system, and $50 is a fair price for it. Quite a bargain compared to what these games used to sell for.
just a few days ago I bought one for $58 shipped ($47+$11). so yeah, I think $50 is pretty fair.

Yeah, it looked pretty good from what I saw. I hear The Last Blade is awesome too, can't wait to get that one.
Thanks though..

Mark of the Wolves is definitely a must-buy game. Any intentions of adding Blazing Star, Pulstar, Money Puzzle Exchanger, and Neo Turf Masters to your library?

Yeah, definitely Blazing Star. I'm also hoping to buy some more Metal Slug games in the near future as well as Matrimelee.

Welcome to the forums! You've made some nice choices for games so far. I would also agree that MOTW is worth what it goes for (and more really) One of the best games I have ever played.

Heh, thanks. I'm so relieved the Neo Geo scene is still alive. I've been playing these games since as far back as I can remember so it's good to talk with people who share the same interests.
I have to get Mark Of The Wolves. My seller isn't responding. Anyone know where I can get a copy?

If you can't find one in the selling forums, just post a new thread in the wanted forums. State that your willing to pay cash and I almost guarantee that you will get some offers.

Alright, I guess I'll post on the Wanted list. I'd get it from Neo-geo.com but I just don't want to pay something outrageous like $100 + for it. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and cough up the dough..

I have a copy I'd be willing to sell if you're located in the US. Not really interested in shipping out of the country. (I have it on dreamcast and ps2!)

For MVS? How much do you want for it? Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Oh, sorry. I'm looking for it on MVS only. I think he may have meant that he would sell you his MVS copy since he had it on DC and PS2. Maybe not, but the way it was worded made me think that. But, yes, if you want a guaranteed legit copy from a respectable seller, expect to pay around 70-80 for it. May seem like a lot but when you get to a few hundred hours of gameplay time like many do with this game you wont mind the price tag in the least. Also, have you gotten your copy of last blade yet? I have been playing last blade 2 not stop here lately and love it.

Ah, sorry if I misunderstood you..
Thanks for the welcome though guys. As for MOTW, I'm kind of drawing the line for paying an obscene amount of money like $200 like some people are selling it for on Ebay. As for The Last Blade, my copy should be coming in Wednesday. I bought it from Y-Plus Technologies as I've been doing for a while now. I can't wait to get it.
I saw this awesome screenshot on The Last Blade 2 review here where it shows Hibiki and someone else about to fight on a darkened looking background. Makes me REALLY want to play the second one.
As for you Tsim.. My favorite Metal Slug is the first one. I didn't care for MSX too much, but I guess that's just personal preference.

Yeah, I meant I have it on all three formats and there's really no point in it so I'm planning on unloading the other two and keeping the ps2 version. I'd ask $95 plus shipping for the mvs cart with shockbox and insert. It's the Japanese version, bought from arcadeshock.com a while back. Oh, and as for Y-Plus/Yaton... make sure you don't buy from the special 100% working section cuz that's his code for "bootleg" (unless that's what you want of course ). I'd also open up the carts to make sure they're legit and give them a good cleaning because they're almost always a dirty mess inside.
