If you haven't seen this one yet and like classic British comedies, this is one to watch. Got reminded about this series by someone at work, so I went out and bought series 1/2 on DVD, and it bought all the memories back. Very corny, very politically INcorrect, but so damn funny at times you just can't help but love it. Anyone else old enough to remember when this was still on TV? Kaz

good call kaz!
Ello Ello was always a guilty pleasure. It was so bad that it worked. Herr Flick sometimes reminds me of the villian of raiders of the lost ark, which is always funny but the greatest part of the show was the policeman's terrible attempts at a french accent.
They couldn't make it in today's politically correct world. The BBC would fear complaints from German and French viewers.

Just bought series 1,2,3 and 4. Soo many memories came flooding back. Kinda reminds me of when I was at school, Sunday nights watching Allo Allo thinking 'bugger', I better do my homework!! Classic British comedy!!Hope they bring the rest out on DVD. Found a cool website showing a episode guide : Cafe ReneI had a crush on 'Michelle' the French maid (for obvious reasons!!)......
