I'm surpirsed this hasn't appeared already. It's a definate contender for the best UK sitcom in recent years, although there's only 2 series (14 episodes - 1999 & 2001). Was broadcast on Channel 4 and Paramount comedy in the UK and Bravo in the US (I think - correct me if i'm wrong). For those of you unfamiliar with the show it starred and was written by Simon Pegg and Jessica Stevenson and was directed by Edgar Wright. The director and much of the cast (including Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) went on to make the movie 'Shaun of the Dead'. Despite it's semi-surreal nature and excellent (though often obscure) pop-culture references, what made this series stand out was it's memorable characters, particularly soldier-wannabe Mike or Alcoholic landlady Marsha. Some best bits: *Tim's zombie hallucinations arising from a mixture of reefer-induced paranoia and prolonged sessions of Resident Evil 2. (Shaun of the dead's origins very apparent). "Let's split up, look for survivors and get out of here!" *The musings of comic store owner Bilbo Bagshot: "I once punched a man in the face for saying that Hawk the Slayer was rubbish. What I should've said was...dad...let's give Krull a try and we'll discuss it later". Cult comic genius. Any Spaced fans out there?

I love the series, although I need to see every episode (wanna get the DVD's) as I kept missing them when they were shown on TV. I'd highly recommend people to watch it, especially if you liked SotD but haven't seen this yet... it took me a while to get into it but it was worth it. The zombie episode was great, but I also loved the paintballing one, that was class from what I remember! Kaz ps will add this to the database!

re: the paintballing episode's follow up in series 2. Tim talks with Dwayne.
"no hard feelings,"
"you shot me in the bollocks Tim"
"like i said, no hard feelings"

Pure class. Cheers for adding to database. ;D

lol! If I remember right he has a Darth Maul type speech where he says something like "I am now the master.... at last I will have my revenge", or something like that. Then (again if memory serves). wasn't that the episode where there was a very funny "shoot out" at the end? No problems anyway - I'm really late with this, like with a lot of things lately, but the series has been added to the database now. Kaz
