We are way behind on the latest episodes here in the UK and I don't really download any so I haven't seen the newest ones. The quality of some of the most recent episodes has been questionable though as most people agree - funny at times, dire at others. Personally I wish they'd give the series a rest for at least a year, and give themselves a bit of time to come up with some new and really fresh ideas, as the script wwriters seem to be drawing a blank these days if you ask me...
Despite how often they are shown on UK TV, the older Simpsons stuff still kicks ass though! Sideshow Bob episodes are the best! ;D

Hehe, Sideshow Bob rules. Anyways, the simpsons is probably my fav. show ever to this day. I actually have been liking all the new episodes just the same as always.

i loved the series ever since it came out back in the early 90's. usually the best episodes are the ones designated for holidays like christmas and halloween (ESPECIALLY the halloween episodes  ). |

suko: man, I definitely agree about the Halloween ones, they are my favourites apart from the Sideshow Bob episodes. The rake episode happens to be one of my favourites of all time actually... apart from the rake thing being hilarious, the bit where he sitting in the cinema smoking was great too... "oh I'll stay away from your kids... stay away FOREVER!!! Oh wait... that's no good!!!" I also love the follow up to it where he has Bart imprisoned in the shed. "The rake... my old nemesis!!!"  Also, who else remembers the lemon tree episode, and the look on the guy behind the gates face when he drinks the lemon juice... I need a snapshot of that because it's one of the funniest things I have ever seen ;D Kaz |

I know that this is probably old news to people in the US, but they showed the 350th episode here yesterday. I hadn't seen it before personally. Was kinda funny and I spent half of the episode thinking "who is voicing this Ray dude, I know his voice!" until I had a really "DOH!" moment and realised it was Ray Romano. I'm so dumb  Not a bad episode, better than some of the other new ones. The only thing about The Simpsons now is that it's rare for me to have any real LOL moments, all I do is snigger a little bit. Other series like Family Guy, Futurama and even American Dad have me laughing hysterically in parts... I just can't see how they can do anything new that will get me laughing as much as it used to. Reinforces my opinion that the show should be given a break for a year or so... give them time to come up with some fresh material. Dunno if anyone else agrees? Kaz |
