There is going to be an anime of one of my favorite RPGs of all time!? I'm happy and can't wait for this.

It's already licensed by Pioneer too. People in the states will probably get into it. I probably should pick up the first game myself.

You must! It is one of the greatest RPGs ever!

3 reasons to get it:

It is deep. Max lvl is 9999 and it has the Item World.

Cool secrets. Other characters and multiple endings.

Funny as hell. They have exploding penguins (Prinnies) that always say "DOOD!"

Yeah... That can get annoying though. I remember playing this at a friend's house and nearly killing my whole team with a field explosion ;D

Ah the Nippon Inch RPG's rule. I quite lucky here in the UK they don't seem to be as rare as the US counterparts which were published by Atlus while Konami Europe released the game over here in the UK.

Yeah Disgaea also happens to be one of my fave' RPG's to mainly because I love SRPG's more than the standard type which seem to be fairly boring these days. I agree with mr. 1337 though this game is very deep, no other RPG allows you to create your own characters. Also saying thay I urge anyone reading this that likes Disgaea to also buy Makki Kingdom (which you have to create the main hero for!!) which is another SRPG made by the same company that I also really happen to like since it's like Disgaea but uses the Phantom Brave engine and is also differnt enough from Disgaea to warrant purchasing.

Oh yeah we all love the Prinnies!

Just watched the first episode which is out now!

(spoiler free)
The animation isn't quite the best in the world but fans are going to amused by the cool references to the game plot and zany Disgaea brand humor. Unfortunately the version I had of the game didn't include the Japanese voice overs so I will leave that part up to others.
Make sure you go watch it!

Second episode is out, anyone able to watch it yet? There are many more characters from the game joining in this time. Not sure if I'm allowed to link to sites where you can get them though. =P

I'd go as far to say that this is a disater.
Ugly art and animation in comparison to other recent shows, and why bother to fuck with a story that was already gold?

Hope it gets better.
