Corto Maltese - Great French Animation!!! :o

i was wondering what that french animated movie i saw back then that i really, REALLY liked... yesterday, i figured it put and now, i wanna get the VHS or DVD of Corto Maltese! it was based on Hugo Pratts' Graphic Novel and Comics about the exotic exploits and adventures of the "sailor without a ship" Royal Navy Captain, Corto Maltese, and his friend Raspoutine. the animation movie was, like, OMG it's animation is nearly as great of Disney's and very stylish... i first mistaken this for a very good anime the first time i saw it! here are some pics:









very stylish really... features some female nudity and violence. it's the best non-Disney non-Japanese animation EVER for me! has anybody seen or watched this gem yet?

i've yet to find one, really. was able to watch it in french with english subtitles once in a cable channel (Star Movies).

Corto Maltese comic series and its creator Hugo Pratts is supposedly well known in Europe, especially France. the DVD/VHS hunt goes on for me ;D
