Buddha revels in the butchering of Naruto ;D hahaha.... frankly, i dont care what happens to this narutoness, but... it's still matters a bit cuz, US companies are favoring the edited scenes... point is: IF YOU, GOTDAMN CENSORS DON'T LIKE VIOLENCE AND WANT TO HAVE SHITY MORALITY STUFF, THEN DON'T CONSIDER RELEASING THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE... for all i care just show kiddy stuff like Daigunder, Monky Typhoon , DaaDaaDaa... at least YOU WILL NOT BE TAMPERING with the Creator's intention and original work.... it's like creating a "robe" for the Apollo statue becuz showing his dinky winky is too racy for children to see in thier mueseum trips... or Repainting The Sistine Chapel cuz they had naked angels.. or Editing the Divine Comedy cuz the "horror" depictions of hell might affect a normal HS's boys mind.... get me???

next thing you'd know, they'd put pants on Michaelangelo's "David". ;D seriously speakin' though, with all the hostility and unstablity among unsupervised young'uns and the failure of the parents to guide their child in shows that rate "PG" and above in the US, i think such censorship would be somewhat a good idea in these here parts. the formula: irresponsible parents X misguided youth = censors working full time. with that being said, at least they're doing some censorship in some US shows, balancing with the shows with a lack of it ("The Jerry Springer Show" for example? ever since i got here in the US i seem to enjoy watchin' it a lot along with espaƱol showing sexy and scantily-clad latina chicks ). i wonder how a censored Fist of the North Star would look like, especially if it were to be put in a saturday morning timeslot! now that would REALLY be somethin'... ;D

i know what you mean by having a having good programing for children, my point it, why take these franchises and forcefully try to market them but along with it comes those cencors and edited parts... i mean, why not release them in the first place, if not released , no tampering will happen.. get me?? i mena, there are TONS of children shows which are suitable for SatAM status... ne~e? another thing, naruto and the like are intendend for 10-15 yr olds afaik, in japan at least, but even though young'ins watch em in japan, you don't see them get affected and turn out to be violent too, japan after all has are VERY low crime rate, unlinke in the US (specifiaclly) wherein pple prvent from vionent shows being shown to thier kids so that they wont imitate and turn out violent..., i mean.... maybe it's the society's fault too... well not really fault, but the different culutr's reaction to same matters.. another funny thing to point out, here (in my country Philippines), they show the unedited YuYu hakusho (back then) and even Naruto... yes, they dont cut the bloody scenes, even teh Akira movie shown in a cable channel,.... funny thing is, the only parts that were Edited out were parts wherein they show Nudity... yup... in one Saber Marionette episode, i noticed the removed scenes wherein there would show breasts and in Inuyasha too... but all the violent fight scenes are stll shown! apparently the media here is more concernd about the youth not peing perverts

DVDs. like i implied, it's a safe marketing ploy, wheter fans will agree or not. heheh i miss the old YuYu Hakusho in the Philippines, and that particular boob scene i saw in Ranma 1/2 when it was still showing in RPN9 (oh wait i saw two scenes in 2 different episodes! hahaha!) ;D

money and community (not the fans themselves) are the key for the companies, and little factor on audience approval since lots of people are still going to buy/watch anime no matter what, and their thoughts of geting the "Unedited" version much later on is another bit of cashcow for the companies like i said, since everyone likes to buy the "unedited" version better once they get a glimpse on the "edited" ones, and it's the fact that certain scenes got edited out that intrigues us all to do so. i'd do the same steps if i were the company, given the situation it's crazy, i tell you. ;D

Wow, all this fuss over a little cartoon... Yeah. But it's developed quite a following here with a lot of older fans that don't want this shit.

Fist of the North is good (saw the dubbed movie) anyone know where I can find the Subbed movie? I'm also reading Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (from the creator of Fist of the North) the stuff in there is crazy.
