Cool! Not only do we get to watch The Ghost In The Shell Series Season 1, but also the 2nd movie all in september! This will satisfy me untill they dub season 2 of the series! One of the great things I liked about the first GITS movie was that the English Cast were just as great as the Jap Cast! Its the same english cast right? |

I hope it's the same English cast as I liked them in the first movie, although I'm torn over whether to watch it dubbed or subbed when the DVD eventually comes out. Ordinarily I'd prefer the subbed version obviously (and that is the way I have been watching the series), but with the first GITS movie I kind of prefer the English actors. I downloaded the really aweful cam of this movie btw, just out of curiosity. No subtitles and pretty bad picture, but I did get to flick through the film very briefly before I see it properly. Hope it gets released at the cinema here too, but I doubt it will...  Kaz |

I watched GITS DVD in english first, and it wasnt untill WELL later on after I watched Evangelion subbed which made me wanna watch all my Anime DVDs subbed instead of english that I got to listen to the jap casts. ;D

The main animes I can't stand to watch subbed (and there aren't many these days) are the ones I watched when I was a kid/teen and we only had VHS tapes (no DVD back then, God that makes me sound old  ) so there was no choice but to watched dubbed. I decided to make a thread about dubbing/subtitling, interested to know how everyone else here feels about dubbed/subbed stuff...  Kaz |
