Like tha name of the title "Akira" it needs no introduction ... it really is a nice and subtle change from now-days anime ... also I find it quite Hilirous in some parts ;D Really cracks u up and 4 sooooo long to ;D ;D ;D Brilliant anime  |

Except that the ending was pretty fucked up.  *I am ...Tetsuo!!!* I liked the manga better than the anime. But still was cool to see how well it was animated. Good stuff. |

Great, great anime, but the ending is still confusing... I've never read the manga but they do say it's because they had to cram a lot of issues into the space of 15 minutes, so it's much easier to understand if you read that. I will do some day if can find it...

I liked the manga better than the anime. But still was cool to see how well it was animated. Good stuff. me too, i actually have the alrge coy, but the anime is one of my faves, i like aldr animations more i think, so Akira, is on my top list... i liked the stroy, a bit confusing, but not as confusing as GitS,.. overall, an Excellent Movie  |

I've always enjoyed watching this anime but for some reason i never thought of it as being "brilliant" like so many anime fans or critics would say. I like the animation and respect the story but i don't really like some of the choice dialouge and how it was presented/directed. It's definately a classic though.

I've always enjoyed watching this anime but for some reason i never thought of it as being "brilliant" like so many anime fans or critics would say. I like the animation and respect the story but i don't really like some of the choice dialouge and how it was presented/directed. It's definately a classic though. Did you watch the dub? If so, was it the old Manga Entertainment dub? If it was then it's worth buying the newest DVD that is out and either listening to the Japanese track or watching the new dub that's on the disc as it is far better... it is weird though, because Kaneda is dubbed by the same guy who did Vash the Stampede's voice, which throws me off a bit Kaz |

The Manga is FUCKIN HILARIOUS ;D ;D ;D ... try and get it from the Library Kaz unless u wanna buy it  I love the part in tha 3rd book I think it was ... how they get busted bout brigning drugs 2 school ... they were told to wait by the principle's office and they managed to slip out by bribing the school nurse ... followed shortly by thier escape on thier bikes and being chased by the principal LOL ;D ;D ;D U gotto 2 read it 2 understand  I cracked up like for 10 mins straight ;D ;D ;D Manga 10/10  Anime 9.5/10 |

I have the last episode of Akira from a uk manga book which is discontinued now I think.
Had gunsmith cats, dirty angels, akira and other well loved favourites.
