I have noticed that topics display shortcuts to every single page they contain. As long as the number of pages a topic consists of is limited, that isn't much of a problem at all. However, take a 50+ page topic and it needs several lines to display all of the shortcuts. I was wondering if the ProBoards code supports a function that would reduce the number of page shortcuts. For example. Instead of getting this underneath the topic title: <1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20> you would get this: <1 2 3... 18 19 20> Looks cleaner.

I think you can make a language that can do that kind of stuff.
On my mates forums he's made something called darkbasic so something along those lines perhaps?

No probs... actually it might be possible to make it so that it shows the last 3 posts and the first three, instead of the first 3 and the last one. What do you guys think would be best, cos I can always go ask what would need to be edited (as I don't want to mess with the code too much for fear of making it completely fubar ). Kaz

What do you guys think would be best The forums I'm familiar with always show the last three pages. Some of those have a lot more members though, which can make somebody who hasn't logged on in awhile prone to missing out on multiple pages. Over here that wouldn't be much of a problem but it's never a bad thing to be prepared for seiryu's return for busier times.

Craps, the search engine is limited to displaying 200 results. Needless to say that the number of posts including the word "seiryu" lies well above 200. 3000 maybe? Anybody want to bid more? ;D

you would get this: <1 2 3... 18 19 20> Looks cleaner. My internet browser displays it very similar to that ... I is use Firefox ... it loads everything faster and is very pretty design etc ... and I is like it

What version of firefox? I am using it but the thread page number shortener doesn't seem to work - instead of looking like this:
<1 2 3... 18 19 20>
It looks like this:
<1 2 3... undefined>
Firefox doesn't seem to support certain forum hacks that I have added, so I recommend using IE to view the forum, and Firefox for most other sites. I have to use both cos some other sites I go to get messed up in Firefox too...
