i know there are a few people out there who's a member of these forums but can't post since after logging in, it reverts back to guest mode. i've been plagued with this problem myself, that's why i wasn't able to post much during the last week. then i figured out something: Use Netscape Navigator 7.1for some reason all PCs here in school with netscape have no forum log-in problems. but it's not really a problem-solver but rather an alternative. i still have no idea why logging in sometimes using Internet Explorer in certain PCs is a problem, even after messing around with the Internet options and cookie settings hope this lil' piece of advising postiness helps

oh....i don't have these problems hullcityfcmad i think it happens frequently on school computers or quite possibly on XP's guest account or some cookie setting i haven't checked on yet, but i haven't accurately diagnosed what's the cause of these log-in problems from the computers here. well good thing i won't be havin' the same problems again since, like i said, i'm using netscape now

In my case, my firewall kept logging me out. I had to create a rule, making an exception in its protective settings for this site. Now it's working fine. Firewalls, they're like women in many ways...

Yeah I was gonna suggest having a look at firewall settings, it could be those messing with you. I had the same problem when I first installed my current firewall, but I managed to fix it by setting an exception for it, as flan suggested.

firewall seetings? where can i find that? Hmm, if it's a school computer you probably won't have access to the firewall settings. That's network admin property. They probably work with more than just a software-based firewall too.
