yeah you're right. it never happened to me today. so far i don't have much issues with the new proboards. st least the many page-thingy problem got solved. why does the "Exalt|Smite" option under the av and location only comes up in this thread?

Yeah page number shortener working is a big plus imho, now I can ditch IE almost completely  Exalt/smite works everywhere for me? One thing though - you can only use it once per hour. So if you exalt me now (you wouldn't smite me would ya?  ), you can't use it again on anyone else for an hour. Stops idiots abusing it to a certain extent. edit: btw, the search function seems BITCHING fast now... 200% better than before imho, the old search function was a bit crap at times. Kaz |

^try changing it to gif/jpeg/png  bmp ia not really web friendly... ok, what's teh size limit for the avatars? That's probably it. My new av/sig are pngs now though. |

Right... I have totally cleaned up all the codes used here so the forum *might* load up very slightly faster now, and hopefully everything here currently should work in firefox and other browsers properly. There's still a few codes that I want to get however, hopefully now PBV4 is out we will see these quite soon once people have re-coded them: 1. Custom rank images for mods etc 2. Extra smilies - all the smilies still work, but they don't show up on the post screen, you have to type the code manually. I'll post a thread in unrelated listing what the codes are. 3. Mini profiles - once a code is available to make the mini profiles next to each members posts look a bit better, I will get it added. The current ones look slightly plain, and there is also a problem where if someone posts a massive image or a long link it squashes up the profile a lot. I am not sure about the date problem robert posted, changing it seemed to work ok for me. Also I still don't know about opting out of the admin mailings because no-one has replied to my question on the support forum. The best I can suggest for now (until I get a reply) is to get yourself a fake account (like a hotmail or gmail one) and use that your address for sending junk mail. Like, if you sign up for forums or anything else at all, just use that, and only give out your private address to friends etc. That way you are unlikely to get much junk mail  Also fusion24 - the notify thing. it's been happening a lot too me lately. whenver this happens, i click back then click the link again for about 2-5 times until the page finally loads. it never happened to me before so why the heck does it happen on this new version of ProBoards?? anyone else had this problem?

it's been happening a lot too me lately. whenver this happens, i click back then click the link again for about 2-5 times until the page finally loads. it never happened to me before so why the heck does it happen on this new version of ProBoards?? anyone else had this problem? Throughout the day (UK Time) the forum works fine and I never get that issue, but it does happen a lot early in the morning, which is going to be early/late evening for US people. I think that's when the traffic to proboards gets very heavy, and I've noticed this problem on other Proboards forums I go to as well. As I mentioned before it's probably because of all the interest in PBV4, but I'd expect the problem to slowly die down... it doesn't seem as bad right now as it did the first day of the upgrade that's for sure. Anyone tried going to their profile and changing the "select skin" option? It's a WIP right now, there is much work to be done to get it looking right, it was just a test for now Selectable skins... saves people disliking changes we may make in the future Kaz |

the ngfl colors skin looks great! well perhaps it's because it's a fresh change from the usual color scheme one thing to note though is that if you revert to the new skin, the smileys changes to the default proboards smileys :/ |

Yeah I didn't enter the new images in there yet... if we wanted we could have different smileys for each skin... almost any of the images can be changed actually. Maybe I'll make about 10,000 different colour schemes, so everyone will be happy edit: images fixed for the most part Kaz |

On the main index, the dates on the right hand side stubbornly stay in American format. I've tried to set it to dd.mm.yy or similar in my profile. The choices in the profile are not very sensible. I'll have a look at the date thing... which choices in the profile do you mean? Kaz The date thing appears to be working now, must have been a glitch or you fixed it. |

Cool - glad it's working ok now! ;D Still trying to find out about that pesky emails issue  . There's some other features that should have been in PBV4 but haven't been implemented yet. I think some things will be done after they finish upgrading ALL boards to V4, but that is taking a lot longer than they originally said it would due to the main proboards guy being ill or something. Hopefully it gets done soon! Still, I think the forums are a much better experience now, apart from the occasional "too many connections" error that we get from time to time, although even that isn't happening as often now thankfully.
