Is this a scanner or the PS3?  Actually looks ok, but not at all what I was expecting. Better than the kettle-like Xbox, but at the end of the day all I genuinely care about are the games on the system itself.  Of course because no console can ever hope to compare itself to the grace of the NeoGeo AES; put it on top of any console in existence and watch them vanish under its might. |

It looks like Sony has reacted to the opinions to the infamous 'boomerang controller'. It will be no more. They'll announce the new design tomorrow. To be honest, an updated dualshock with a better d-pad (we haven't seen a good console one since the dreamcast imo) is something i'd be happy with. |

Well thank god for that. I agree with you, just a redesigned dual shock would be fine. For the record though, I was never a huge fan of the DC d-pad... I got on ok with it, but it felt too stiff to me personally.

I loved the DC D-Pad. It was the best for fighters cuz the d-pad didnt break...i mean its all together rather than spaced out like PS2 (I cant use PS2 pad for fighters). But I love it for everything else so I agree with you kaz. Dual Shock...wireless They never did make an official wireless PS2 pad did they? |

Guess Im the only one here that thinks the new PS3 looks like a George Foreman Grille then ? Personally I find it to be rather ugly, but then I feel that way with most of Sony Consumer Electronics so its no real suprise I have to say that of all the consoles made to date none of them actually got me saying " Wow that looks really cool" and Ive never really thought about how they look ,I just want to play em ,screw the looks ..just put it in a box and Im there I think as a person I do tend to buy things based on performance vs style so maybe thats why I havent really had much of opinion of console looks over the years. |

I just got done watching alot of vids. and trailers from all the upcoming PS3 games and i'm honestly not impressed. It all just looks like the same shit with better graphics. (on top of that, graphics that really aren't anything better then the latest PC games like HL2 and Elder Scrolls Oblivion) I really don't see a reason yet that makes the console worth buying for someone that is growing tired of playing the same thing, virtually the same way, with only superficial upgrades. |

Man I totally agree with everything you just said  For myself the only reason to own a PS3 will be driving games like Granturismo ,but I really wasnt impressed with the GTHD vids I have seen... When will these guys put a damn dash board in the cars and get rid of the generic one look fits all guages ? The PGR series has always been ass gameplay wise IMHO but the incar was done right, I still have no plans on owning a 360 or a PS3 [at any early stage anyway] I have no need of the same old games just bumped into HD. Its going to take some serious must own titles to get me to guy anything other than maybe the Wii [ man that name is Ghey ] since I know I will like some of the Wii games and I no longer own a GC so some titles [ Star Wars, Mario etc ] I may buy over again if they make the jump to the new console. Yeah definitly dont believe the hype |

wtf? Thats exactly the point. Stuff like MGS, FF, SIlent Hill. They are too good as they are so the better the graphics the better the game. If your gonna say the GFX are no different than PC games then the same is said about the xbox. Me and my m8 (inky kaz) agree that Quake 4 is almost wxactly the same as doom 3 (same game engine yeah) but atleast with PS3 they are not releasing games for PS2 then for PS3 (king kong on xbox > 360...wha?). The whole point of next gen games is the potential of the power > graphics. I dont understand what you expect from the PS3? For it to turn into a virtual woman? A hoverboard so you can ride it to school? lol

Dynasty Warriors 35 is fucking amazing, way better and more deep then some old NES game. *Taps Square button repeatedly for 20 minutes*" LOL ;D I think for many of us jumping into a new console just isnt worth the money when the play mechanics of the games are really no better than the current gen consoles. $400.00 just to play a prettier version of the same title is ludicris IE Resident Evil on the GC Sure it looks better which could contribute to the games atmosphere ,but is that enough to make you want to play through what is almost a carbon copy of the origional ? for many of us it just isnt. Pretty graphics are nice but in my world its just not worth the price when it doesnt really add to the gameplay. Look at the lack of defference in the 360 titles that are also out for the current gen consoles ,like the new NFS ,Tiger Woods, COD 2 etc... Its a total joke at this point. Without a doubt this will be repeated on the PS3 aswell if for no other reason than to make a quick buck and expand the library of games faster { espicially from the likes of EA and their poor excuses for franchise games } Well that was redundant ;D If youre happy blowin the cash then go for it and enjoy it I will be waiting for deeper play mechanics to evolve before I make the leap to new hardware $400.00+ is alot of current gen games to enjoy vs just a few on new hardware. |
