Saw a Magical Drop MVS cart on a shelf today, and thought i'd have a quick blast via emulation. However, it seems that it's not actually on the MAME or NeoRage ROM list - what goes on here? Is there some sort of special ROM coding on the game that isn't used for Magical Drop 2/3? Can someone more intelligent than me answer this mildly confusing situation?

Magical Drop 3 is on the games supported list on Kawaks 154. I don't think that it was supported on the earlier versions but I may be wrong. I'm not sure about rom coding but I think it's more down to the way the emulator is programmed. I haven't played MD3 yet but I've heard that it's very good. It's pretty cool that you can buy mvs carts from a shop. I've got nowhere near me that does that, although the game shop down the road from me criminally overprices aes carts. I haven't checked the 'bay for a while though.

MD1 is proberbly fairly rare thus nobody been able to dump the roms on to the internet yet. I've yet to come across a MD1 cart but from what I played of the PSX version it's a good game.

What i meant was that i saw it here at home - i haven't seen any MVS carts available in shops (although there is a nice selection of AES carts in Cambridge).
Rare, eh? i'm probably an idiot by selling it, then. ;D

I've seen what I've done with my last message. I've been stupid enough to mix Magical Drop Games. I agree with danny. I don't actually think that MD1 was decrypted in the first place.
