Has to be from Yoshitora Tokugawa from Sam Showdown V Special. Just awesome i always used Haohmaru until i got the whooping of a life time on SSVS then i knew it was time to switch to a newer samurai. Oh i liked Kazuki Kazama in SS4.
Got to say that Zankuro is the nastiest looking.

Yoshitora is damned cool, and also designed (afaik) by the Rurouni Kenshin creator - you can see the similarities actually. The only thing is that he's overpowered really, so I try not to use him much if I play someone else because they always moan at me  You gotta love anyone who walks around with that many swords anyway! That's a really nice illustration of Yoshitora. But I always find his hair weird, no matter how many times I look at it.
Back to the topic...my favorite is Basara. I like his story, his weapon, his fighting style, and his lover ;D.

I don't really have the issue with him being over powered as the only guys i ever play at this kill me every time with Basara, who i now hate, also the guy that looks like Geese from FF, Genrujo or something is it? Him anyway he always slays me. Although i can take that more than when the girls school me. Matt |

Yoshitora is my favourite character, but just like Kazuya said, he's just TOO strong. I choose Genjuro or Jubei more often.

Well to say the truth I was never amused when playing Samurai shodown as much I was playing Last Blade. But SS really shines in terms of character design, since it has some of the most innovative character designs ever. My favourite character can't be decided between Asura and Ukyo. Asura is a one of his kind really, I couldn't see any other design that touches him, maybe except Yuda from Samurai shodown Warriors Rage 2 (But well that's the new form of Asura so that doesn't count anyway  ) Ukyo's design was a blast when it first came too. I can't just imagine a SS without him. I really missed him in SS warriors Rage 2. I wonder if he might get a bigger part in the storyline ever : / . Other awesome designs are : Genjuro, Hanzo (I wanted the last one to appear in NGBC) and also the less famous Charlotte, which I find unlucky at all ^^" . |

For me, my fav character is Ukyo. I was really hooked to that character (I like the way his design "detaches" from the other characters)
