MVS=Multi Video System. The arcade version of the neogeo. Can have 1, 2, 4, or 6 slots for cartridges.[/quote]
Since your bringing up board with different #slots, besides the obvious ease of having multiple carts installed at one time, can anybody tell me how much more can you benefit from going for the 2-4-6 slot MVS's?
Am going for 2 slot MVS but I don't see any difference besides Memory slot, 2 slots*duh*, and MVS harness.
Also do you know of any RGB decoders that'll let me use SHVS inputs for my Supergun on the TV? Here in the US we have problems, since the standard of low budget TV's are SVHS or AV inputs.

Here's a link that will help you a lot: www.hardmvs.comThere is a pcb guide on there that explains the differences between each type of MVS. There are a lot of minor differences on each board, like some have stereo, while others are mono, some have joypad ports so you can plug in standard Neo Geo pads, and lots more. Read the pcb guide on there (it also has pic of each board) along with the other stuff on that site, as it should be a great help to you Sometimes the larger slot boards take up a bit more power than the smaller ones (I think), so make sure the supergun you get is suitable for running the board you buy, or you may suffer problems. Preferably try to get one of the slightly newer boards, and don't go for a 1 slot, because some of those older 1 slots are have issues with Rage of the Dragons and some other newer games. I know that pain because the old 1 slot I use to have (MV-1) didn't not work with my RotD kit. As for the RGB to SVHS convertor, I'm not 100% sure as I never had to use one - but ask on the tech support forums at neo-geo.com as I have seen lots of people on there talking about them. Kaz

Appreciate the reply Kaz. You've just gave me some valuable info. about which MVS board to choose. I'm trying to get one of the newer 1slots. The Supergun I just bought is small, so I don't think it can handle at least 4-6slot MVS. I'm going to buy a PAL to NTSC scart into S-VIDEO converter. That should work. Thanks alot for all the info guys. Looking foward to joining the MVS community!!

The Supergun I bought is relatively small, I'm not sure can it handle the bigger 4 slots, or even 2 slots. I'm finding lots good deals on them but unsure of this. FYI it's the MAK Supergun if anybody heard of it. Got it via EBAY. Why did the 1-slot not work? Just wouldn't read cart? Thanks Kaz. You're saving me lots of heartache and hrs trying to find info on ask jeeves. lol ;D
