Thanks both.
Update: Site is progressing along nicely and I've changed a few monor things design wise to make it look/function better. Quite a few of the links on the left are working now, and once they are all done, there's the small (snigger) task of converting the reviews over to the new format. It is a big job but I honestly don't think it will take all that long - I did this once before when we changed designs and it wasn't too bad.
I'll keep you all updated on my progress.

Thanks again guys Just spent about 2-3 hours finally learning to use css properly, and then making sure all the pages are set up correctly with it. I finally got all the pages to have a proper consistent look now because of it, so all the font colours and sizes match and stuff... migh not sound like much but in truth it was bit of a mess up until now. There's also the added bonus of me *possibly* making it so that people can choose their own colour scheme. Gonna look into this more, but with the use of css it should make it possible for me to setup a few set colour schemes that people could choose from. I'm not sure about this yet as I haven't played with css much before, not properly anyway. I know it is possible, so with any luck I'll be able to sort something out, but there's not a 100% certainty I'll use it... Apart from the reviews, the site is now 100% ready btw. All the sections are online and work ok, all that is left is for me to convert the reviews and I aim on having that 100% done by the end of the week. After that there's a few final things to do, but after that the site will be online for real. I won't set an exact date, but I'd definitely say by the end of this month at the latest, especially with the amount of time I've had to work on it lately Kaz

Started doing the reviews... I'm up to Baseball Stars 2 so far, and it is taking some considerable time to do them. I am actually tidying up a few of the reviews in fact - go to you know where suko and look at the aof3 review for instance... I kinda re-wrote it slightly, so it looks/reads a lot better. I could just port everything over without changing it, but many of the old reviews were rushed (they were written in 1999 for heavens sakes ) so they could do with a new lick of paint. Also, as with some of the KOF/MS games etc, I might just go back and do some more re-reviews later on. In fact that will be sooner rather than later, just gotta get this design sorted out first ;D edit: was about to go to bed, but just remembered I didn't post this yet: Nice big pic of the review page for AOF, all reviews will have this type of layout: Thoughts? Well, definitely expect some new reviews once it is up, as well as some other cool stuff. As far as reviews go, I think a few Fatal Fury and more KOF re-reviews are top of my list, cos some of those DEFINITELY need re-doing.
Still working on porting the reviews over, site is about 65% done so far, maybe a bit more. Almost half the Neo reviews are done anyway, I'll keep everyone posted!

123 reviews in the Neo section done so far over the past few days, only another 50 or so to go . Getting there slowly but surely, but it is taking quite a bit of time, especially for the games that have multiple reviews by different people. After those I still have the other SNK related reviews to do, but that won't take too long. More news soon. Kaz

hey man,the preview of the site looks quite good and don't forget the trivia whn reviewing the games like the ones you did for kof 2001 and 2003 like intros between kusanagi and k9999 its quite interesting stuff. pity some of us take time to notice them if you could just keep on showing it will be fine by me.

Yeah when I do reviews now I like to try and get some trivia in and make the review as interesting as possible, as well as providing lots of information. It is true that I did rush some of the reviews back when the site first started out though (that WAS way back in 1999 though ;D) which is why some of the older game reviews are not as good as they could be.
I am still going to go back and do some re-reviews again, the main ones I want to do are the Fatal Fury games, finish the KOF ones (I did a good review of KOF 2002 and re-reviews of 94, 95 and 96 so far) and then I need to sort out some better Samurai Shodown reviews cos those games definitely deserve a better writeup.
Also working on some new reviews of recent games, and perhaps some hardware reviews and editorials... but I'll think about all this stuff after the actualy site design is 100% finished ;D

About 30 Neo reviews left to be converted now along with a fairly small amount of non-neo reviews, then the main site is done (should be by Sunday). There's some things that still need to be done/finished off though, for instance the eagle eyed among you may have noticed that the Emu section is not there. I totally removed it from the main site because I want the main site to focus on the actual console and SNK games and nothing else. However all the old emu stuff will go up on its own little subsite for those that want it (and newcomers to the site reading this remember that this only includes tutorials etc, NOT roms! ). son_jason has agreed to write a few tutorials and stuff for the emu section, which he will be sending to me for inclusion on the site... also if anyone else wants to help out with it then please let me know. HTML experience etc would be a good thing, but if you don't know any but still think you could write some helpful stuff for that section then PM me Still shooting for a release at the end of this month! When the site opens there will also be some kind of survey going up on there that I would like as many visitors as possible to complete, so I can get an idea of where people want us to take the site in the future.
