Hi,
I have got a 4 slot MVS motherboard, and I search for : - some reviews of commercial superguns; - some experience of users, with their commercial or home made superguns.
In one word, how to make my choice ?
Thanks in advance,
manuhard

I have never used any of the commercial ones, but most people seem to talk about the supernova from MAS Systems, however you'd be best asking people over at neo-geo.com for opinions on it as I know some people there own or have owned them.
I have always gone with home made ones really... if you have the electronic know how to build one yourself then you can make it exactly the way you want it, and you also get a lot of satisfaction out of building one yourself. If not, again you can ask at neo-geo.com as there are a handful of people there who sometimes build custom superguns for people... might be worth having a look around.
Where are you from btw? If you are in Europe then a homemade supergun is a little easier to build than if you live in the US or some other countries... your Neo will output an RGB signal, which is ok for us Euro peeps who have RGB connections on TV's, but it's a little more complicated for US people as you'll need to find another way to connect it.
Welcome to the forum, Kaz

Hi,
Thanks for your answer.
I live in France, so you're right I don't need a RGB converter to make my supergun.
By the way, I know a guy in Paris who has made some superguns by himself, but I'm worried most about the quality of the video display : with commercial superguns, you often have some possibilities to adjust and set perfectly the video display. It is possible also with home made superguns, but I don't know how to.
Anyway, I will look for further informations on Neo-Geo.com
See u soon,
