Possibly exciting news, there are rumours going about that there will be a new Ikari Warriors game coming out. I have no idea for what system, or how the game will take shape, but it could be good  Hopefully better than Metal Slug 3D looks so far anyway  Kaz |

I think another shock troopers would have been better but if this is true i'm happy anyways. They better keep this one 2d.

cool i also read about this at s-c.com
anyways, due to the current demands of gmaing, i think there is a greater possibility that this will be in 3D... just make it good, and look they already ahve an Ikari 3D warrior model for Ralph! (in KOF MI)

I'd prefer 2D, but if 3D is the way they will go (and I'm 99.9% sure it is), then I'd be happy if it was done in a tasteful way... like Konami did with their Contra games on the PS2, which I really liked. So long as they don't try to turn it into the sort of 3D third person shooter that they they have done with Metal Slug 3D (ugh!), then it should be good.

i don't know, 3d ikari sounds quite promising espcially since it had that rotating bit at the top of the stick, 3d just seems a logiocal extension of that.
though metal slug 3d still does look terminally shite.

Hopefully it won't be like 3 for the nes where you start out with no weapons whatsoever and there's tons of troops everywhere ;D

But i kinda agree with Sepia on this one on the 3D rotating thing, 3D wouldn't be a bad idea for this one. It's the grafics and character design that i'm worried about(looks at MS 3D) |

So do we know if they're gonna keep the controller the same? They better keep the stick, but will there be additional buttons or what? I hope there's some ABBA easter egg action goin on as well.  |
