I own the old and here of the new that is atmoswave. I have to admit I know nothing although it seems it works only with a cabinet and not a television!? Ignorance they say is bliss I disagree! I would like to be refreshed with the new arcade scene and not the way of a supergun; unless sammy went that way?! The neo geo went phantom one I know they can't go any other?! How does the atmoswave work without me downloading pdf and in lamens, please?

It's just an arcade hardware, same as the Neo Geo MVS was, and you can slam it into a cabinet and it has interchangeable carts. It is basically very similar to Sega's Naomi hardware wise.
As for playing the games at home, you would probably be best on not buying an AW itself, and just wait for the ports to the PS2 or Xbox. At the moment I don't think it is worth buying the Atomiswave itself as it is probably too expensive and there aren't enugh good games right now.

I agree with Kaz once I heard RumbleFish was coming to PS2 I decided not to buy the AW board.
