Mh,well. There´s always the hardcore fanatics that are only loyal to teh company and their games (capcom and SNK fanatics alike). They both have their aguments and points about the other company and the games,good points and bad points IMHO.
Arguing like this is kinda pointless as both stand by their points.
Both companies sometimes get too repetitive sometimes and lack inspiration. Thing that always has bothered me about the SF games is that the characters are just puppets....no pre fight animation to express their personality or hate/love towards their opponent.
SNK games do have that on purpose so that the characters live a bite more on screen.
As for SNK....well the biggest thing that has bothered me is the reproduction of KOF too fast each year.
I know they wanna please the fans by holding on to the "every year returning KOF 94/95/96/97/98/99/00/01/02/03...04?? but by doing so they´ve gone Capcom´s way by lacking freshness in the series like SF also has cos Capcom kept upgrading the same game.

i agree wit Sei'
but regarding the yearly KOF, i think (no matter how REPITITIVE), i think it is a MUST,. . . KOF is like superbowl, world series, or even the NBA playoffs (or Kohaku for J-pop fans), it a "tradition". . . hehe
but it kind get boring at a point. .. yet, look at '03, it kinda like "revitalized" the series, i know some NON kof players (SF3 freaks) liking '03, even though they ahvent played ANY kof yet. . . what im saying is that, KOF stil has hope, to bring back its former pride, an innovative fighter with a great storyline and a a great charater development, even though it doesnt come yearly anymore, i think fans whill always apprecite KOF, no matter what year. . .
im actully AFRAID now. . . its NOVEMBER, and still NO ANOUNCEMNT on a proper KOF'04. . . sure we have KOF NEOwave, Max Imp, Rebout '94. .. but WE NEED a proper '04, '03 got the fans excited again. . . let it be that '04 will be better. . . and since its 2004, i think it ok to have 4 KOF's hehe

In fact I would gladly forsake having a KOF this year and waiting till this time next year to play the next game in the series, providing they do something really good with it. I think things are moving in the right direction though and 2003 did freshen things up a lot, but the next KOF deserves to be great and not a re-hashed and slightly tuned up version of KOF 2003. I really want to know what happens next storyline wise though, as 2003 was interesting! As far as fave characters go, Freeman is another of my faves and I think he deserves an outing in KOF...  Kaz |

With NeoGeo BC coming out, i don´t think they can affort to fall back on the rehashed sprite use to make another KOF for the next batch.
Especially with work continuing on a powerfull platform as the atomiswave.
SNK´d be really dumb if they didn´t do anything with the hardware capability on the atomiswave.

I think that they should drop the Neowave name and just call it 2004. It would suck to have yearly editions for 10 years and just drop the tradition. Besides, what are they going to do instead? Come up with a bunch of witty subtitles (Max Impact, etc.)? The point is to have a story that unfolds a bit more each year. And I hope they maintain that.
