Some of the older model 1 slots don't play ROTD but not all of them. I don't know about Matrimelee though. There's a lot of buzz about this issue at neo-geo.com in the forums.

It's very dependant on which 1-slot you have - I had an MV-1 (see www.hardmvs.com pcb guide to see which one this is) and ROTD would not run properly on it at all, it basically reset every time you got into a fight. A lot of people including Raz from CPS2Shock were trying to figure out a fix for it and I actually sent my ROTD cart to him so he could try and find out what causes it, but at the time he didn't manage to find out why it happens. After I got the cart back I lost track with what was happening though cos I went out and bought a 4 slot and the game was fine on that. And yeah, I did hear rumours of Matrimelee not working too, but again I never tested it when I got my cart as I already had the 4-slot by then. I did read a while ago that someone managed to get ROTD working by doing some really simple soldering on a couple of the jumpers on one of the carts boards, but I'm not sure if that was a definite 100% fix. Best to ask over at neo-geo.com or do a search for rage of the dragons in the tech support forum as I'm sure you'll find a few threads dedicated to it there Hope that helps, Kaz

Thanks for the help I have MV-1C I hope it works That sounds like the smaller one... I am 99% sure that ROTD works with that one. I won't swear to it, but I think you'll be ok, I hope so anyway man edit: just checked and I'm pretty sure that MV-1C is the newer one and if it is then ROTD definitely works on there. The only big disadvantage with that board is that the bios is soldered on, meaning it's very hard (actually near impossible unless you are EXTREMELY skilled) to remove it and install a uni-bios. If that's not a big deal to you then it won't make any difference though Kaz
