i just went to my local gamecrazy and i was wondering if buying a neo geo pocket color or w/e is worth it for a gaming system. i know the history of the games and i know in the us there arnt many games but is it worth it as a alternitive to gameboy sp

i won't give you a direct answer on deciding which of the two to pic, but it all depends on these factors:

you'll like NGPC better if:
you like SNK games alot
you like fighting games like KOF or ShamSho
you prefer 2D graphics

and you'll like GB SP if:
you like Nintendo games
you like different assortments of games
you prefer 2D/3D capabilities o one system


in a non-biased POV, GB SP is the better value, seeing that some of the SNK ports are going to get released for it, but if you're kinda nostalgic and you have a few games you like in particular for NGPC, then it boils down on what you think is the best bang for your buck.
i prefer SP as of now, but if i can just get both... ;D

If you have a gamecube and don't plan on playing sp games with people often then get a gba player. They only cost half as much as the sp.

the sp has quite a few snk games ie kof and mslug as well as all sega ,namco,atari,konami classics not to mention nintendo games ,the ngpc has kof mslug samsho(sort of) as we say the choice is yours

They probably will split up into smaller groups those who sit there getting money and thjose who wish they could make games but got fired for having ambition.

Dreamcast failed because of a certain fan base for a certain black upstanding console that certainly robbed it of it's time.

Don't count on it being a new console as even if it was they'd release it a week before the PS3 and totally fail.

anyway, i love my dreamcast, and i wont replace it for a ps2 anytime...

for sega (now ownd by sammy), IT IS NOT a wise move for a new console, even if i myself want for them to ahve a "DC2" they have no money, and they have lost certain integrity, so IF next year, sega does release a console, it might get us... the DC fans happy, but mainstream gamers, they wouldnt give a fuck... and it will be shadowed, again, by sony, cuz of the PS3 hype...

Hey that wasn't nice ... I loved the Dreamcast when it came out ... I played non-stop like for 2 days straight with very little sleep, many other days the same... I still love my DC never hated it ... not even once ... I is not a PlayStation 2 fan I was just joking ok ... I rest my case
