another KOF poll! (hope you're not sick of 'em)
Well, KOF has been around a long time, 10 years to be exact. The game has gone through MANY changes, and one of them is the Main Hero of the series.
Kyo burst into the scene and impressed us with his ventures throughout the Orochi Saga. (as you can see, i didnt include '94, cuz that year, i think there was no "main hero")
Then, the angsty K' came from nowhere which fired up NESTS's plans
Then last year, we were introduced to this eccentric pretty boy, Ash. And he proved that not all heroes are on good side.
-well, i just wanna hear your opinions on who is your favorite? both gameplay wise and story wise...
For my vote, i choose Kyo (pre-99, the one in HS uniform), cuz he was a great character, easy to learn and a great for begginers... and story wise, he was badass, an ordinary (meybe not..) HS student practically saved the world from the evil that is Orochi (along with the help of Chizuru and the red haird dude), still he showed a lot of coolness and his "whatever-just-fight" attitude is contradictory to what a "hero" is supposed to be.
well post yours... ;D

Kyo... although I'm almost tempted to pick pretty boy Ash cos I've used him a lot since KOF 2003, although after finishing 2003 you probably can't call him a real "hero" K' is cool as hell too, but for some reason I tend not to play as him much. Kaz

I gotta choose K' just cause i play as him more often. (though i totally dispise his metro sexual style & constant overly trying to be cool with his silly sunglasses) When Kyo comes to mind all i can think of is how much better shingo is ;D

Kyo, both gameplay and story wise. I like him when he dropped that ground projectile move and use chain moves instead. I like a lot of his moves, not because they are strong, but because they look cool. Story wise...his involvement in Orochi saga and the current saga are interesting. I like mythical stuffs.
K' and Ash are both Ryu clones, with projectiles and anti-air (I know they can't be used the same way). I don't like K' acting so arrogant (quote "Ore hitori jubun da"). And I find Ash really ugly. BTW, all their moves look cool. But I just can't convince myself to like them.

I wouldn't really call them Ryu clones at all... but I would say that Ash is a Guile clone Kaz

Well...I look at the essence of their moves, fireball and anti-air. That's why I said they're similar in that sense.
