-Does the neo aes console work with 10v psu? What is the function of 5v and 6v psu? -mvs cartridges have extra 1mb rom compared to aes cartridges.what is the meaning of this?

Extra rom holds high score info / other arcade only info (perhaps dip switch info?) In which case I don't suppose it would be 'read only'

High score info etc as far as I know is stored on the mvs board itself... for instance, when I got my old 1 slot it already had a bunch of scores saved on there for games I hadnt played yet, and I had to delete those using the settings menu. I've never heard of MVS games being bigger than their AES counterparts... where did you hear that? (unless I'm just being ignorant/forgetful ) Kaz

I didn't answer because I'm not entirely sure on the differences with the PSU's on the home console as I'm more of an arcade/MVS guy myself. I couldn't tell you off hand what voltage the Neo Geo PSU is, but it should tell you near to the power supply what voltage should be plugged in, and if it's too high then you could possibly damage the system. Best idea is to pop over to neo-geo.com and ask on the tech support forum there, as someone will definitely know the answer there... unless any of the AES owners here know the answer? Kaz

I forgot to reply I'm not sure all the info in Chris Mullins guide is accurate, and as I said I've neevr heard of the carts being bigger. Ask over at neo-geo.com's tech forum though as someone there will definitely be able to answer your question. As for the thing with chips being missing, a lot of my own carts that I have looked inside contained slightly weird setups like that... not all carts use the same numbered chips. Remember, if you have a debug or uni bios installed in your system you can choose to play a game in both arcade and home mode and switch regions, so there is no real difference in most games, so I don't see any reason why they would be any bigger?
