Hi all,
Been on and off the Neo scene for years. Used to post here Occasionally years ago too! Not that anyone will remember! lol. So many Neo Geo sites have disappeared! What happened to Garg's temple and stuff? And UnderTheNeoGeoMoon? They were good! I hope Kazuya at least isnt going anywhere!
Anyway, just back on the Neo scene again.. and what do I find? This atomiswave thingy! What is it? Is it anything to do with Neo Geo? Is is a console?
Also, anyone here know any places to buy Neo Geo AES games from, apart from the retail links on Kazuya's site, buyrite, and ebay? They must be good and reliable. I used to know loads, but everytime I'm off the scene I keep losing all the info!
Is raven games in london any good? I seem to remember some people having a few probs with them. Do they sell legit stuff?
Any help with my queries will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Channa.

I remember you . Gregs closed I think, and i imagine the same is true of under the neo geo moon. Don't worry, provided I have a host I won't be going anywhere for a long time It's an arcade hardware made by Sammy. Sammy basically have a partnership with SNKP now and it looks like after Samurai Shodown 5 Special, all their new games will be on the Atomiswave, and then ported to the PS2 and Xbox later on. KOF Neo Wave (out this May) will be the first SNK game released on it. FYI, Atomiswave is basically the same as the Dreamcast, except it uses carts instead of GD roms. Don't use Buyrite, they are not good at all... just ask anyone who has purchased stuff from them Raven are supposed to be not too bad, but probably expensive, although I have never actually been over to them so I don't know personally. I don't think there's any problems with them selling bootlegs or anything. Nice to see you back Kaz

Hi Kaz - Surprised you remember me! Ahh well - looks like the Old Neo is finally coming to an end then? No more new games Yes I know all about that buyrite! Thats why I said don't mention them - nasty piece of work they are! Real shame about those other sites, though. I used to know a few obscure shops around the UK that did Neo Geo games, but I've lost all the damn contact names and numbers! There used to be one up north that got a few in occasionally. Anyway - just trying to order a copy of ghost pilots - hopefully will have it in a week or so. Cheers, Channa.

GHOST PILOTS IS THE GOD GAME!
It is one of my favorite for the neo. Sure the first few levels are lame, but then the action increases. Just wait until you get to the final level where you have to face off against a Hitler look alike. The ending is kinda short for however long you have to play the game for.

Yes I know there are many mixed reviews about ghost pilots - I know Kaz isn't particularly fond of it for a start!! lol. but I have read good reviews about it also - so since I have a bit of spare cash lying around - I thought why not?
Anyway - I've always been a great fan of shooters - anyone remember the old tiger-heli? I used to love it! Played on it for ages so I did!
Ultimately I would Love to get games Like Pulstar and Blazing star etc - but hey - wheres the cash? lol.
Sorry 'bout any spelling/grammar mistakes I've had 5 pints of beer and a bit pissed lolz. I'm a bit of a pisshead - to be honest lol. Love playing some samurai shodown (1st one) after a few beers with mates! lol.
Cheers,
Channa.

Well, I love my Neo - thats for sure. Anyway - looks like I won't be getting that Ghost Pilots after all - Ive just found out its one of those that come in a cardboard box instead of the proper box! Gah! What a shame!
.. or do you think I should still get it? The price is 70 squid, and its supposed to be in excellent condition.

Hi Hullcity Thanks for the info on ravengames mate. They may be a bit expensive, but there are so few places that do Neo Geo these days I haven't any choice. The main thing I worry about is getting hacked carts to be honest. I want to know I have bought the genuine article. Oh yes about ebay - I'm apprehensive about using ebay - what if I send the money for something and don't get the goods? I worry about that. I really need to get my Neo modded too. But I'm afraid to give it to anyone! I got mine all the way back in 1991/2 or something -can't even remember lol. Guess how much I got it for? 170 squid BRAND NEW!! Heh - bet you guys can't figure out how I managed that?? Heh. 5 pints - sure I was high - wasn't pissed though! I'm one of those peeps who aren't the best typists in the world even when sober - lol. BTW I went on to have 9 pints altogether. Stella Artois - surely the nectar of the gods! Heh. I'm no lightweight!! Drink you under the table anytime buddy! lol Anyone have any thoughts on Ghosts pilots I mentioned earlier in a cardboard box? I think I might get it anyway. Cheers, Channa.

Stella Artois... great drink, even if it does carry the unfortunate nickname of "Ye Olde Wifebeater" It's up to you when it comes to that Ghost Pilots... if you mainly wanna play the game and aren't mainly after it for collecting purposes then I guess it's ok... I have no idea what the going rate for Ghost Pilots is though. Btw I assume you logged in using your old account so it still has a record of the other posts you made Welcome Back and welcome to Demigod too Kaz

Carlsberg?! That Vicar's piss is about 3.8%. And I don't much care for Stella (one of approx 7 lads in the UK who don't), it's too gassy.
