sorry dark, King lion will be next weekanyways,  Here is Kyo's no.1 fan, Shingo, now disscuss him!  here's somthing i remember back then:
back in 1998, one of my first PS1 games was KOF'97, i loved it dearly, and it was the 1st KOF i every played (the only other SNK game i knew was Samsho), anyway... when i first encounterd shingo (since, i dont know the KOF story back then), i thought he was a Mid-boss having no team at all, just like Iori. I really thought he was somewhat like an "Outlaw" fighter, someone who exceeds Kyo or Iori's powers and greatness, and he doesnt use powers and such but still he's strong!, basically i thought he was THE KING of FIGHTERS being alone and all... but when i got to read some doujins (not hentai you guys) and got to read char backgrounds, he was just a PUNY LITTLE TWERP who is Kyo's bitch... it totally changed my perception of him and stuff... just when i was getting good at playing w/ him...
anyways, that was my little story on Shingo, to this day, im still a Shingo player (along with Yama), and still loves using him... and i still thing that he IS beter than Kyo cuz he fights purely with fists (Kyo is NOTHING w/o his flames!) buddhz

i like to use him sometimes, especially his kof98 and kof2k3 version. in kof2k3 it's extremely damaging to chain a,qcf+a, qcf,qcf+a, LDM combo, and i use his shingo kick alot.
very amusing character, and in kof2k3 he's starting to learn how to use flames (his qcf+c sometimes causes sparks) so it would be nice to see him be able to use flames for a change in kof2k4

yeah, his prime days were in '97-98, MAN! those critical hits are damaging! (max mode+critical hit qcf+C = stronger than a DM!) and his unblockable f,d,df+K move is effective for setting up a nasty LDM in 2k3  one thing i hate bout him is that he now uses Kyo's gloves (which for some reason turned BLUE!)... it sucks and doesnt fit his style, his '97 wristbands look better |

I don't mind him, but I can't say I am a big fan. Then again I'm not the *biggest* Kyo fan in the world anyway, although I do prefer him to Shingo by far  Kaz |

I was really onnoyed when they replaced his qcb+k move but i suppose some people would use that move too much and then make it look as if he's a cheap character.

I always thought shingo was pretty cool although I never use him much even though I should since I play Kyo a lot.

Shingo Owns Kyo any day of the week. ;D He may be kind of a cheap character all together in design cause he is somewhat a copy of Kyo but i always thought he played better, in kof 97-98 like Buddha mentioned he's an extreme badass. Anyways, i salute you Buddha for that sweet Sig. & Av. Shingo deserves some recognition for being a badass character that [glow=red,2,300]owns[/glow] his mentor.

i dont use shingo much but i like his striker move in 99 and in 2k is very effective when he hits the opponent and grab his leg after that u either do DM/SDM or do some combos. one thing good about shingo is he recovers fast thats y his one of the cheap char.

Shingo is definitely one of my favourite KoF characters and I tend to choose him quite often. I love his cocky attitude and he has a few great special moves like the Shingo kick. He also has a really, REALLY sweet counter-attack move (similar to Kyo's, qcb + A / C) in KoF '98 that can cause a lot of damage (especially if you get a critical hit)!
Does anyone know what Shingo says to Kyo in KoF '98? (The fight intro where Shingo shouts something to Kyo while pointing at his glove, then bursts into laughter and Kyo replies something to him looking really embarassed/annoyed)

Shingo basically says look while pointing at his gloves then quotes kyo's phrase "moero". Kyo then basically says "what was that?"
