Be patient, don't attack him from the air and punish him bad whenever he misses with a somersault.

The problem is how to make him miss his somersault. The CPU is smart. Simply jumping won't cause him to perform the somersault. Jumping too close to him and he'll punish me immediately. He recovers quick and has high priority. When you have quite a distance from him, he starts throwing his Sonic Boom. Damn, projectiles are overused by CPU in this game.
Maybe Kasumi can kick his ass. The problem is I can't execute the counter moves properly. Also, Guile is vulnerable for a while after performing Sonic Boom. So, if your characters have super moves that can go through projectiles, this is the best time to beat the hell out of him.

i c tnx for the tip. hey how about Shin Akuna? do u know any weakness of him? Not many. Do NOT try to trip him. His super uppercut takes no power whatsoever and 90 percent of the time he will use it when you try to trip him. Unlike Mr. Karate his normal fireballs can be beaten with a super projectile so fire one off whenever he leaves an opening. Other then that punish him when he misses with his uppercuts.

oh well. the key to winning is matter experience anway. i think they should put Guile as the sub boss instead of Dan.

I find that using Shiki against Guile is rather easy. At the start of the round, immediately performs QCF + K. Guile will use Sonic Boom, but Shiki will jump over it and stomp him in the head. Back dash and perform that again. Sometimes, he will block instead. Then, make some distance from him again.

Well. After fighting Sagat 4 times in a row (cause I kept losing)
Does anyone have a strategy for him? All he does are his fireballs when I'm far away. And the tiger uppercut (with deadly machine presicion) when I am close. Since his fireballs are so fast, projectiles aren't working so well either.

you find sagat that hard? well it depends on the character you are using. as for me, I'll predict when sagat does his fireball then ill jump and hit him or start doing combos.

I usually find Sagat really easy, although I really love fighting him and have done since SF2. As JJg@m3r said, just time jumps over his fireballs, as he is usually a fireball whore when he's at a distance, but don't jump in at him normally unless you want to take a Tiger Uppercut to the chin Kaz

I usually stand still near him then time my low fierces with this fireball because he usually throws the high ones unless you're ducking a lot.

Guile is among one of the best SF characters I have ever played with he is strong and his combos are good along with his moves, his speed though is probably my only set back with him but even that doesnt take away alot from him...yes to beat Guile, do not jump in the air...Im just like the CPU I'll get you everytime you do that, use a character with alot of speed....that'll get the job done, just jump over him and bust a combo it will take him like one second to turn around, yes thats enough time to open a can of whoop ass on him...
The only thing about posting this though is that Guile is one of my all time fav characters...so posting a strat on how to beat him somewhat saddens me because I take away that aura of invincibillity away from him hehehe....

Just for information: I was trying to beat Sagat with Hugo.
Any tactics now? I can't jump over the fireballs, and I noticed, it is a real strech for most other people, cause Sagat is so damn tall in this game.
I played as Violent Ken as well, and was having some trouble jumping his fireballs. And of course, as soon as I got in range from jumping over his fireballs, he tigeruppercuts me.
Playing 1 player SVC is like playing against Kusanagi in KOF2k3.

Beating sagat is quite easy. When you know teh right tactics, you own his ass with your left hand, while watching some porns! Hahah, no the jumping is actually the only right thing you can do, As Sagat is so tall it´s easier to perform hot Combos!

Well, if you just want to beat Sagat, Hugo's crouching D can do most of the work, since the range is so long. I don't know any of Hugo's moves, and I only rely on that. Basically, you mustn't be too near to him and predict when he will fire the Tiger Shoot. Then, just stretch your leg and he'll definitely trip.
