So.... the series had it's premier in Japan today and though i can't find it on the net yet here are some screens & a few details (spoiler free) from the show- home.nc.rr.com/momotato/Here's a 3.5 meg clip showing just a small sample of the beautiful animation toufqb.free.fr/momotato/pics/champloo.aviFinally, some positive things mentioned by some peeps that have seen it- "I knew of the series, watched the trailer on the of.site, and got everything i expected. awesome fluent dynamic action, no lazy frozen stills (like the usual put-one-pic-and-roll-the-dialogue-for-a-while), and charas with charismatic personalities. there are not many high quality anime series, but samurai champloo has no problem finding a spot in my top 3 between the creator's previous 'cowboy beebop' and production-i.g.'s 'stand alone complex'. besides...it's way easier to understand than the latter." |

I just dled the first episode (In japanese) on overnet, it was great quality and around 170 megs. I couldn't understand what was going on but i understood enough to know the show was very well done. Excellent fluid animation, (though some people are drawn funky lookin its part of the artists style) beautiful colors and nice voice dubbing. The only thing that turned me off honestly was the opening music, some rap song in english by somebody that can't flow too well imo. (probably because he can't speak english to well to begin with)

Thanks for both links Goemon, can't wait to watch it No prob. i just finished watching the subbed 1st episode. It's easily one the best anime series i've ever seen. From the intro to the outro, it reeks of quality and goodness. Let me know your thoughts on it after you finish watching it  |

Let me know your thoughts on it after you finish watching it  I have to agree with that, it rocks Great quality (if you've watched Cowboy bebop, you know that the quality is great) Music is cool, it isn't traditional samurai music but it fits well Love the characters, especially Jin, he reminds me of someone Worth the watching |

Supprisingly id have to admit my fav. character is Fuu. The only thing that pisses me off is her silly squirrel pet, i just hope it doesn't get over used. |

The video quality and text is alot better but the translation isn't as good. The dialouge seems rather sloppy & not as intelligent/cool. I'm gonna stick with Baka even though the video quality is under par but thanks for the link GregsoN. |
