well, I joined the Garou club myself. it should be on its way from everybody's favorite ebayer by now. did I mention that circa got a helluva deal before? yeah, because like predicted garou cost me $58 shipped. it really is such a pretty game though. MOTW seems like it gives sf3 a run for the money graphically. I really don't know how they snuck all those character animations in and still had power for such complex backgrounds and move effects. cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&viewitem=&item=170054027489&rd=1&rd=1now if I can find metal slug 3 my 'really must have' list will be complete. that and my CMVS--whereever the heck it's at. nobody ever accused ben of being quick. I haven't spent $60 on an MVS game in a long time. KOF99 cost me that much, but that was years ago. a lot of the good games have gotten so inexpensive since then. Damn dude, $58 still isn't bad at all. I know I got a steal with the custom phantom-1, garou, ff3 and KoF in that $160 lot on ebay, but you should still be happy about that price as it often goes higher. I personally would probably still buy the game if it was going for $200+, it's just that good. Oh, and keep a close eye out for MS3. A good deal will pop up pretty often. I just bought Last Blade2 and MS3 (both w/ shockboxes and MS3 w/mini marquee) for under $50 shipped. Just take your time and don't go for impulse buys. I've spent way under market value on every MVS game I own. Contrary to popular belief, you can be a cheap ass MVS player if you're patient. ;D Oh, and if you don't mind dirty/scratched up games, check the infamous Yaton (arcademvs.com) for some amazing deals, I got magical drop 3 for around 35 shipped and it actually was clean and had a custom, full color label. He even has many games for under $15 and a few for $10! Just watch out for his "specials section" and you'll be just fine. Good luck finding all the games you want!

what's wrong with his 'special' section? turf masters is $30? are there some lines that I'm not reading between?
and the garou is from yaton, I didn't know he had a store though. FF realbout 2 and AOF 3 are at attractive prices...in addition to that (fake?) turf masters

Yea, the specials are boots. That's why the prices are very low. He's a reputable seller, just stay away from those unless it's a game you absolutely HAVE to own. I can vouch for him on his other carts though, all originals. Plus, you get new interesting packing each time. Last time my carts came in a box that held some type of fish fillets.

well, I got MOTW last week sometime, but honestly I've only played it twice. I'm not really all that happy with the game. Sure it's got some novelty to being the prettiest game on the system, but it's really not all that fun when compared to any of the fighting games I've been picking up lately. Too many characters look similar, and the backgrounds are a mixed bag ranging from incredible, to (more often) "whoop de doo." There is naturally a lot of animation frames in both the characters and background, which is nice, but animated boring, is still pretty boring.
I suppose I could start looking up combos but that seems like an awful lot of work. My motivation to play this game just isn't there for some reason.
I know it's crazy. I loved the snot out of this game before I got it, and everybody in the world thinks it's better than sliced bread. But last night it almost got swapped out for last blade or blazing star. I kept playing MOTW for the silly reason that I spent good money on it. I've also come to the realization that forcing myself to play something does not help my opinion of it.
RB2 looks like it might interest me a little more. Seems to have some prettier move effects to look at, and the characters are more fun to look at than the high percentage of guys in pajamas.

Wow, that isn't something you hear too often. I bought the game over a month ago now, and I still play it nearly daily...Give the game a week and if you still don't like it, just sell it off. If you only payed $58 shipped for it and it is a legit copy, you wouldn't be losing any money. (probably making some actually)

MOTW is probably game that's spent to the most time in my mvs recently. IMHO i see that it's a definate case of quality over quantity and one of my favourite games ever.
But if you don't get one with it than fair play. Luckily - it's one of those games that holds it's value well so it should be quite easy to sell it for at least what it cost.
RB2 is also a great game and can usually be picked up quite cheap (I paid £7 - around $13) for mine and it's a very enjoyable title. Of course the jury's probably out as to whether RB Special or RB2 is the superior title. The graphics do have a very cartoony look to them but that adds to the charm imo. The background/foreground gameplay does add to the gameplay but whether that's good or not is a matter of opinion really.

I don't generally sell my games--especially not games as pretty as MOTW. The game has lots of positive qualities, it just seems a little bland to me. It's very fluid, and what they did with the animations was incredible, but I guess I'm more about over-the-top huge effects, intro/victory moves, outfits and backgrounds than actually fighting. because it is a very solid fighting game.
and I do like Terry's stage. now that's over-the-top cool. Terry himself, is looking a bit bland.

I personally like the two (or three) plane fighting for a while, but it gets old eventually. Kick ass avatar, BTW. I still have my white Japanese saturn.
