Is the Atomiswave capable of making 2d graphics more advanced than the CPS III? I know it has 2X the memory of the DC, and is a little less powerful than the Naomi. (2d games don't require a shitload of power anyways) And one more thing How much data can the Atomiswave cartridges hold? Thanks

well, as an owner... ill tell that it could be on par with CPS3 (i dont knw capcom systems that much), since it can handle higher resolution games like GGX, i guess with little work, it can exceed cps3 (i think), regarding the cart size, i guess more or less like the GD-rom but in cart format well, to be honest, i havent paid that much attention to my atomis, since i only have 1 game (GGX1.5) besides, why bother knwing the technical specs? it doent affect the QUALITY of the games... sure they have GREATER GFX, but does it play well?

so the atomiswave has about the same power as the Naomi eh? (it has 2X more memory than the Dreamcast, and half the ram of Naomi, but this shouldn't be an issue since it uses Cartridges as its media) 2D gaming is gonna get good.

well yeah i guess you are all right, 2D game will never be as good as the good ol days. When i checked the Atomiswave Specs on System16, it says it has a 64 bit processor, and when i checked the specs on Sammy's flyer, it said that it has a 32 bit processor. (And i thought the system was 128 bits) Does anyone know which one is right? And how powerful is the Naomi compared to the Atomiswave. (The Memory the Naomi has over Atomiswave is twice as much, but is it true it is not affected since Atomiswave is Cartridge based.)

As I understand it, whilst the Naomi is more powerfull, this power is "aimed" at the production of polygons. The Atomiswave lacks the raw processor speed, but when it comes to 2D sprites RAM is often the limiting factor. Naomi games like MvC2 and SF3 had additional RAM in the carts that were needed to play the game disk. Does the Atomiswave feature anything similar?

I was wondering about that myself but now I have the answer : NeoStore has just started to sell Atomiswave system hardware packages with Dolphin Blue game included for $685. Not too bad at all but you still need to buy an arcade cabinet for it...

If this is possible with the Atomi carts, then the possibilities are endless with today's technology. ((I think this is somehow implemented in NeoGames like SVC...I mean it looks so damn good))
