I now have Neo-Geo.com debug bios chip installed in my AES system! The total cost for the modification was about 50 € (Euros, ~20 € for the debug bios kit & Neo Geo official fan club badge shown on my signature and 30 € for the modification work), but it was WELL worth it. The modification was made by the second-hand video game store that imported the AES system for me and it was finished yesterday so I haven't had much time to experiment with it yet. So far I have tried the AES region change and the MVS mode features of the debug bios which work VERY nicely! I also ordered two old English AES games, Sengoku (mint condition) and Blue's Journey (brand new), from the NeoStore today. I got tired of owning only one Neo Geo game (SS2) and they were relatively cheap so I decided to buy them.

Thanks!
If you own an AES system you should most definetly consider making this modification as long as you can find someone to do the chip installation for you. You'll get much more replay value from all AES games.
I haven't tried the debug dipswitch menu yet which should enable game cheats etc. I think I could start posting any useful dip codes I manage to find on this forum if someone is intrested?
I wonder if there's a dip code to make Mizuki available as a playable character in SS2? Hmmmm...

I have really tried mine out yet. I need to get another joystick for my aes. So you do have debug bios installed? You don't need two joysticks to use the debug bios menu! Try doing this : 1. Plug the joystick to the controller port 2 and turn the AES on. 2. Press Select + C to enter the debug bios menu and change the options as you wish. 3. Choose Restart from the debug bios menu or press reset on the AES to enable the changes you've made. 4. You can now start the game as player 2 in most games. 5. If you want to start as player 1 switch the joystick back to port 1 without turning the power off. You can change the joystick's port freely when the AES is on. The debug bios doesn't save it's settings if you turn the power off. Of course it would be easier to have two controllers...

Yes I have one. Although it really isn't that big a deal to be player 2. I'm just lazy ;D

Congrats on getting it installed... imho a debug bios (or uni-bios for MVS users) is a total must have for any Neo Geo user.

glad you got blues journey....it's a cool game....sengoku is pretty good too. I'm still waiting for the games to arrive... I've always liked side-scrolling fighters and I love the samurai theme of Sengoku so I had to buy it while I could get a cheap collector's quality copy of it. Blue's Journey turned out to be a very positive surprise when I tried it on MAME. It's a fun game to play although the graphics are sometimes almost annoyingly cute ;D.
