Well just another one of my borng polls... anyway, i choose Smasho cuz its the series that got me hooked into SNK stuff... really memorable, the first time i cut galford's body in half in samsho1, i was like: "WHAT THE HELL! COOL!!"  so post yours  |

Gotta be SS for me too... Last Blade is awesome and I'm a massive Ninja Masters fan, but Samurai Shodown 2 is still the best Neo fighter of all time imho  Kaz |

Dito, i have to go with SS.
Probably one of the few games in with the kind of blow you use, really makes a different in delay and recoverytime.
There is a big differens between medium slash and heavy slash and the time you need to recover from the hit if it´s blocked or missed.
Wonderfull stuff there, it makes it a more technical fighter then the regular hack and slash combo ones.

yeah it's gotta be sam shodown....sam shodown 2 to me is probably in my top three fav neo games.it's one of the best overall balanced fighters i've ever played. hullcityfcmad |

SamSho´s the best!
When I first saw the "Fatalities" in, I think SS3 or 4, this Game was the ultimate for me.

Which minority voted for the last blade?
Anyways, i think it´s also got to do with the fact that most players first experienced SS and instand fell in love with that game.

*Sigh* I have to say I was really torn. I cut my fighting game teeth on SS (along with FF Special), and SS2 is one of my favorites of all time, but I really had some high hopes for Last Blade, which is an excellent, excellent game. BUT, I have to say that because of the history behind SS, it edges out LB for me.
Hey, but where's all the love for Kizuna Encounter?
