O.K. I know it's old hat now but it's so dam funny!! ;D ;D The Star Wars Kid is a 15-year-old from Quebec known only as Ghyslain -- his parents are keeping his last name secret to protect his identity. Back in November 2002, Ghyslain was goofing off at a school video studio and recorded himself fighting a mock battle with a golf ball retriever lightsaber. Over two minutes, the video shows the lone, overweight teenager twirling his mock lightsaber ever faster while making his own accompanying sound effects. Yes, we've all had our dorky, private moments, but this poor kid is living the nightmare of having his private dorkiness projected across the world to giggling Web users. His friends found the tape, and uploaded it to KaZaA as a joke on April 19. Within two weeks, someone had added full Star Wars special effects and sound effects to the tape. Currently, new clone videos are being created at the rate of 1 per day! It's well worth watching the original first, he really gets into it towards the end LOL ENJOY!!

Man, that is truely sad. You know, I am somewhat of a fan of Star Wars, but when I was younger the story never caught on to me. Same thing happened with the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, I never really got the dialogue. I just enjoyed the violent battles.
Then I saw "Saving Private Ryan". Classic war movies are my new favourites now.

The kid was horribly embarassed by it. His "friends" basically betrayed him. He was the laughing stock of the internet. I mean no offense, but its probably not the best thing to distribute.

LOL it's still funny to watch even now, and to be honets by now I don't think it makes much difference if people distribute it... I don't think it's possible for him be any more embarressed than he already has been. Poor lad though... if someone did that to me I'd go mad! Kaz

That guy is never gonna live this down ,and probably rightfully so...... maybe he should be crowned king of the Star Wars geeks or something ... I grew up with the first three movies and as good as they were I could never get into it like alot of people , I think you have to have some form of mental retardation to take movies like this and worship them like these dorks do ... My god look at the Star Trek fans ... You know in person I would probably feel like kicking their asses if any of them tried to interact with me, but its soo sad I would probably die laughing or just be in disbelief at the way they act. I think the best part of this sort of thing is guys like Robert Smigel { Triumph the insult comic dog } find them perfect cannonfodder ...Great entertainment ! People are truely bazaar with this Fandom crap...Heh look at Cosplay ...weirdos Whatever floats youre boat I guess

You have just made a grave error. You shall pay with your life! Die by my batleth!! Seriously though, I find your approach fairly close minded. Again, I mean no offense. On the point of being cannon fodder for Robert Smigel, the fact that he has to make fun of someone that dresses up is pretty sad... you think he could come up with something better. And the fact that he knows there will be no retaliation makes it even sadder. Finally on the float your boat thing... its wood. Get it? Wood floats my boat!!! Ahah.. Well... I hought it was funny. -Drew

Im just not the sort of person to go to those sorts of extremes just beacuse I like something so it comes off as pretty lame ,but thats what makes us all different As for Robert Smigel I really dont see how he is all that different than any other stand up commedian sice they all pretty much target people in general or groups there of , thats just his gimmick and it seems to work for him.

I just feel we probably shouldn't be distributing it out of respect for him. Indeed it is what makes us all different. Me and my numchuck skills, you and your normallness (if thta is even a word)... you know. -Drew

Raiken: yeah it either gives me a 404, a not hotlinking allowed thing, or it sends me to some get rich quick type site, or a chamber of commerce thing. Bizarre...

Kaz: the Chamber of Commerce thing is just an ad. If you scroll to the bottom you get a link tot he original site. It may be that it is in his cookies so he can pull it up. actually, I am talking through my hat. I don't know what it could be, but I get the same problem.

Can't see any link to go to the actual site, and going to starwarskid.com.fasthost.tv/ sends me to one of those stupid ads or an equally lame site every time I try it. Right click and save as doesn't work either... Kaz
