i can't see snkp making another due to the fact of the move to atomiswave hardware in the arcades...this will probably mean more ports onto home consoles that already exsist at the time(eg ps2 or 3 if out).the reason they're (alledgedly...it's not official yet) moving to the atomiswave hardware is too save money and secure their financial future.this will allow hopefully a constant(ish) stream of new games...what i'm trying to say is no because it just wouldn't be possible to do it financially...but i might be wrong!

Would be cool, but there's no way it'll happen as it wouldn't make good business sense and would end up bankrupting SNK again. R&D for a brand new console would cost millions of dollars, probably a large part of that $53 milliion they got from Aruze in fact, and then they'd need to manufacture, advertise and release it, which would cost even more $'s. They are better off sticking to games as that is what really brings in the money. Porting games to the PS2 is where it's at, and it looks like that's what they'll be doing with Sammy's Atomiswave games.

Thats true, now would definately be not the right moment to make a new neo geo machine. But, Ive got a feeling that they will eventually, but that will be a VERY VERY long time.  |

Yeah this I'll never happen. AES consoles cost an arm and a leg already so there's no point making a new home system.

I voted definately not, there's no point in a new system as peeps have mentioned before me, it would be a waste of money for snkp & hurt more than it would help most likely.

SNK is legendary for it´s 2d classics.
That´s SNK basic, so what the hell would they do with a nex gen console?
I´d be afraid they would go over to the mainstream and start making 3d games and stuf we see right now....
They just should keep at it doing their 2d thing and the best way they could keep up with the future was the deal they struck with Sammy.

It'll never happen, and it shouldn't. SNK's hardware should die with the Neo as it has simply failed on every other hardware venture. Sammy is the way to go now.
