a mate lent lent me a dvd with that rip on it. just saw it last night. its hard to talk about it without spoilers, but here goes...
it might be the subtitles, but i found the plot and dialogue a bit confusing, (and that's coming from a massive ffvii fan) seemed like they tried to squeeze 90hrs worth of dialogue into 50 minutes with the rest being action and repeated sequeces from earlier in the film. the fight scenes are great, but it would be nice if there was some more character development and thought put into to it. the use of the soundtrack came across as either really good or really bad. but overall, despite having a bit too much emphasis on action (which at times made me feel like i was watching some benchmark, or tech demo rather than a film) its still a beautiful thing to watch.

am definatelty going to watch it again though. however on the dvd was final fantasy vii for the pc, with that and the announcement of this year's all tomorrows parties festivals degree failure has introduced itself as a possibility...
