a mate lent lent me a dvd with that rip on it. just saw it last night. its hard to talk about it without spoilers, but here goes... it might be the subtitles, but i found the plot and dialogue a bit confusing, (and that's coming from a massive ffvii fan) seemed like they tried to squeeze 90hrs worth of dialogue into 50 minutes with the rest being action and repeated sequeces from earlier in the film. the fight scenes are great, but it would be nice if there was some more character development and thought put into to it. the use of the soundtrack came across as either really good or really bad. but overall, despite having a bit too much emphasis on action (which at times made me feel like i was watching some benchmark, or tech demo rather than a film) its still a beautiful thing to watch. mmm freudian.... am definatelty going to watch it again though. however on the dvd was final fantasy vii for the pc, with that and the announcement of this year's all tomorrows parties festivals degree failure has introduced itself as a possibility...

I think all the subs floating about aren't perfect because it seems to have been speed-subbed to get it out as quick as possible... not dissing the people that put time into it, but when the movie is a little confusing as it is, it doesn't help . After seeing the film plenty of times though, I pretty much understand it, but as I said earlier in the thread I have started up on FFVII again to remind me of certain parts that I had forgotten about. Really enjoying playing the game again actually, too bad my PS2 is goig screwy again... hopefully will have a new one on Friday however! Don't fail that degree over a game, hehe! ;D Raiken: yeah grabbed the soundtrack last week as soon as I saw it floating about. I absolutely adore it, especially the Septhiroth theme music from near the end of the movie... always loved that in the game, and the AC version is just sublime Kaz
