I'm not a fan of the newer star wars movies. They just don't have the feel of the old ones to me although I'll probably see ep III soon. The lightsaber fights do look cool.

I'm not a big fan of the newer ones. Menace was ass for the most part, clones was actually pretty decent (especially for the action near the end), but it got ruined by being far too long and having some terrible acting at times... Hayden Christensen was so wooden it was unreal (the only time he really showed any emotion was when he said the "I killed them all" thing), and again, the love story aspect could have been so much better had the acting and script been improved... I don't know what it is about Lucas's direction that makes good actors look bad... I mean jeez, Natalie Portman is a pretty good actress but even she was poor for thr most part imho. As I say it could have been so much better than it was, I think it was only worth watching for the action scenes, which were quite spectacular. Oh, and one other thing that REALLY irritates me, that friend of mine pointed out. It's ridiculous the way they have tried to tie all the loose ends of the films up, What I mean is that they made it so all the Stormtroopers were clones of Bobas Fett's dad, Jango, they made it so that Anakin was the one who created C3PO, stuff like that. And the whole "Anakin was conceived naturally" (like Jesus) thing was just insane. I think most people out there could have come up with a much more tasteful way of doing it, and one that didn't leave quite as many plotholes Episode III does look badass though. It's still most likely got horrid acting (then again the acting in 4-6 looks bad now ), but action wise it should be awesome, plus it is a whole lot darker, which is good. Some people I have spoken to (and whose opinion I respect) said they enjoyed it a lot, so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it too. There is apparently a decent copy of the film floating about, and although I'd be tempted to watch that, I'd rather wait until next week and go see it on the big screen. I can't enjoy stuff properly on the small screen when I see them the first time, especially if it's this type of movie. Kaz

I just got back from seeing it. I don't think that the new episodes 1 and 2 where quite as good as the old movies but i also don't think they're horrible. (With the exception of the Jar Jar character episode one was actually quite good imo. So this movie is definately the best new one as anybody would have guessed just because of the possibilites. I think it was a decent and somewhat reasonable way to tie up the series but at the same time i thought it could have better. The acting was defiantely the good to decent from all the actors imo but i guess nomatter how the series comes to a conclusion it's virtualy impossible to please everyone.
So if you like Star Wars it's a must see and the best new one yet but i personally was hoping to see something with a little more depth. A good and fair enough movie all together though with amazing special effects just like the first 2.

Yeah I agree too, watched it yesterday. It's a damn good film and best out of the new three, but Empire ownz them all for free Sith is surprisingly gruesome in a couple of places... have parents been complaining about it over there in the US like they have here? Kaz

Although I could hear several people shocked at the theater about that particalur scene where Anakin finds the children.

i saw it yesterday and i was warned there was a shocking scene( ie the kids )but overall i thought itwas really good yoda and anakin dominate this film its darker but it was going to be wasnt it ?esp 1 was bland , 2 was way way better ,and three is like the 2nd half of 2 ie really good .it makes me laugh when everyone inc moi says oh but there not as good as the first three films .i was 7 when isaw star wars of course it was better! id never seen anything like it ,and i didnt walk out the cinema going "hhmm mummy i thought the plotline was a bit weak " cmon guys lighten up the new ones have a layer of detail on them that makes them look like different films & thats because they are 1-3 anakin 4-6 son of anakin easy btw i always was amazed there wasnt uproar over the birth of anakin ,lets face it its hugely insulting to one of the major religions but there seemed to be no protests as far as i saw anyway eps 3 v.v.good movie im going again weds

Why would that piss you off though? Darth is meant to be evil... can't be pure evil if you spare people now can you . Besides... they obviously had powers. Who's to say they wouldnt grow up and try to get revenge? The smart bad guy would kill off any threat, and if you are pure evil you wouldn't be concerned with killing anyone, kids or not. It was pretty nasty though yeah Kaz

Without the sweet yoda fights episode 2 & 3 would definately drop many notches. I love the part when yoda walked in the emperors room and instantly droped the two imperial guards. Also the guy who played the emperor really did aa exceptionally good acting job in this one imo

Just finished watching it.... I thought it was a pretty good film. What amazed me the most was the battle sequences, and the wars in space....It amazes me with what people can do with computers.
As for the storyline, the only part that got me was when the Jedi are assasinated one by one....it just didnt make sense. How can the most powerful people in the universe be killed by a couple of guards lol.
Oh well, I still enjoyed it and it was definetly the best out of the last 3 movies

I do kind of agree - surely they would have noticed a "disturbance in the force" or something and realised that they were up to no good. Ah well, it's another plot hole we'll have to try to forget about Kaz
