Sorry.... yes I am a little bit wrecked... but tonight was awesome. Full respect to Chelsea (and to my MANY Chelsea supporting mates), but I always had the feeling we'd get through, since long before the first leg. There's still another 90 minutes vs PSV Eindhoven or AC Milan yet, but I think it is safe to say we proved a lot of people wrong.
YNWA! And more importantly... English teams all the way! ;D

The game was messed up completely 1. Shoulda been a peno no doubt about it Yes, and a red card for Cech. The rules clearly state that if a player is denied a clear scoring chance by the keeper (and he bought Baros down big time without getting the ball), its a straight red. There were not many commentators or even media people (who usually have a strong London bias) that didnt think it should have been red. The ref looked at the linesmen who said "goal" and he probably just decided to give the goal seeing as a straight red so early on would have ruined the occasion and turned it very bad tempered. I think Chelsea got off lightly on that one, but I do think a straight red would have soured the occasion so I'm glad he didn't. Get your fucking facts straight... they were BARCELONA FANS! No *true* Liverpool fans are that fucking stupid these days. Didn't you notice them throw a Barcelona flag over Mourinho? They did that cos Jose was Bobby Robsons translator at Barcelona, and they used to like him... but after the whole Chelsea/Barca refereeing incident (and the fact that Chelsea beat 'em at the Bridge), they hate him now. It was the same group of fans that threw a Barca flag over Luis Figo in Euro 2004. Some people really don't know their history of the game... it shows the real fans from the plastic ones. Anyway, I can maybe unserstand you not knowing about the Figo/Jose/Barca thinng, but what made you instantly assume it was Liverpool fans and not Chelsea anyway? Probably to do with the Barca idiots on the pitch, but yeah 6 was excessive to the extreme. How would that be a reason to replay the game when WE won though....? Playing 6 mins put US at a disadvantage and we came through it ok anyway (but I admit my heart suffered greatly) Anyway, thanks Tsim/Jdash. Thanks for being gracious in defeat Tsim, you know that's how I acted earlier on in the season, and due to all my Chelsea mates I do respect your team... in fact I have done for many many years, and I've spent many a good hour down the pub with those mates enjoying some great Liverpool/Chelsea games. This is what amazes me though - down the pub I watched the game at, my best mate and his sister are Chelsea, and there was a good mix of both Cockney and scouse fans, but the atmosphere was incredible.... singing, shouting and lots of friendly banter between us, but it was all good natured no matter the outcome. And it was just the same after the game... Chelsea fans bought me a few beers, in fact there was a bloody Arsenal fan down there and HE bought me a beer and said "well done Neil Mellor" (fans will get that). Oh and did I mention that I'm speaking to an AC Milan fan on MSN right now who I used to work with, and we are having a good convo abou the final? Well, I am, goes to show that some people know how to be gracious and have good conversation with fellow fans (but a bit of good natured banter is always good though eh? ) Anyway, I get back from that pub with its great atmsophere and a plastic fan like Klarkus has to talk complete rubbish for no real reason (especially about the Liverpool fans, sorry that annoys me badly)... you don't even support either team do you? Just goes to show really... in fact you did say to me right before I left for the game mate that we had "no chance whatsoever". Who's laughing now? Like I say though, the rest of us TRUE fans, no matter what our allegiance, can have a proper conversation about it. And support the English teams to go all the way! When it comes to accusing fans of something, get your facts straight before you blast them next time, don't speak about things when you don't actually know tsim: dont be too hard on lamps, I thought he had a slightly off game but for some reason it didn't seem like he got enough service at times... and he needs that cos he's a different type of player to Gerrard. He's a little more measured, whereas Gerrard chases the game in a more "all action" way. I personally feel Stevie is the better of the two, but I must admit Lamps has had a better season overall this time around . He's done you proud anyway mate, as have pretty much the rest of the English contingent at the bridge! So pleased for Joe Cole... but 100% surprised that he got subbed for Robben last night! Oh and although he seemed bitter in the post match interview (then again I would be too), fair play to Jose for clapping the Liverpool fans and shaking every Liverpool players hand right after the game. I watched the whole of the celebrations on the Liverpool site (which you didnt see on TV), and it really was something special. That really sums up what the game is about to me, not petty arguments. Anyway: I don't care what Skys computer generated mock-up says... it just makes no sense at all. Hell, I can draw up a mock-up myself and say it *did* cross the line, anyone can. Hand on heart I still can't say for sure, but look at Gallas standing foot, it is bang on the line there right? In Skys computer generated shot from an above angle, his standing foot is NOT on the line. Great accuracy there from the LONDON BASED media Kaz

lol yeah I did go a bit overboard, but I've been on something of an emotional rollercoaster this past season, and Tuesday was such a great and emotional night for us scouse supporters. Cos of that I do get a bit wound up when someone says something that blatantly isn't true, but anyway yeah I guess I did go off on one a little bit Anyway mate, I know how you felt after Saturday night (buzzing), I feel the same way after Tuesday night, even though we haven't won anything yet (in fact I have barely slept the past few nights). I've supported Liverpool all my 25 years, and it has been a long 20 year wait to see us in the final of the top European cup again. I really hope we manage to win it, it's great for us obviously, but even better for English football - about time we bought something big home again! If we don't make it into next years competition as it looks like we might not even if we do win it, I really hope you go off and win it next year... if we do somehow make it in, then I'll be cheering you on *if* you make it further than us . Imagine that, English clubs winning the Champions League twice in a row and then maybe the national team bringing home the biggest honour of them all next year? ;D As for Lamps though, I agree with you on Joe Cole not getting the plaudits he deserves (not until recently anyway), but when it comes to Robben and Duff people are always on about them... in fact it's gotten to the point where it's annoying cos some people would have you believe Chelsea can't do anything whatsoever when they aren't playing. Obviously you are much better with them than without though... but pretty much any team would be let's face it. As a total non-Chelsea fan though, Lamps is still one of the best in the country imho, and one of the hardest working/most dedicated players there is, but as I said before Gerrard is just one of the those players who really chases a game and can make things happen when no-one else can (hence the media going overboard with the "Gerrard saves the day again" stuff ). Lamps is just a different type of player really, he can make things happen to a certain extent (look at some of the goals he's grabbed for you and some of his passing), but Gerrard is just on a different level. I guess part of it comes from the "local lad" situation... Stevie has been a Liverpool fan all his life, and has only ever played for Liverpool, whereas Lampard wasn't always Chelsea. I'd never doubt Frank Lampards work rate (and obviously he loves Chelsea now), but sometimes playing for your own club can make that little bit of a difference. Just look at Jamie Carragher for another example! Or John Terry for that matter... Kaz

right first of all i would like extend my gratitude to liverpool for makeing the semi a game i'll never forget.chelsea and football in genral is my world.live, breath, sleep all that sort of thing and i cant beleive that all these so called chelsea fans are farting over weather it was a goal or not,let it go,they won fair and square no arguments end of.if the score where the other way round chelsea would'nt be botherd if the ball crossed the line or not.and as for lampard not being statisticly a good player pull ur head out ur backside tsimnami999 just who in the hell won us the leauge, has scored more goals then any other player and carried the team to it's fineist moment in the 100 year history of the club.like kaz i hate to hear plastic fans heckel a player all cus he missed a shot, well whoopie fucking do his cross's dont always hit the mark.how many game's has he missed this season M8? thats right none so i for one forgive him for being tired and missing a stupid shot at goal.oh and by the way mr chelsea...we play a formation that let's lampard defend as well as attack duff and robben are winger's look how rubbish robben was against liverpool when he came on and played in the middle, yes j,cole is the best in the buissness and were lucky to have him.but if i had to choose......lampard for his 17 goals in all comp's and his sheer will and determination to never lay down and die.like u have done. kaz like i said on that night in the pub,i'll be with u for the final rooting for the pool, and dreaming that it will be us next season.btw who's this gerrard?? ;D

first of all plastic i aint :-*my first game i saw at stamford bridge mickey droy ,& tommy langley were playing so no ones more pleased than me to finally see chelsea league champions ant in my post i said i was being ultra harsh about lamps ,no arguments hes been the best all round consistent player he won the league at bolton no question. looking at my previous post there was a bit of frustration coming out about the euro result and lets be honest you always take it out on someone else.my point about the corners still stands i cant remember one going in the area. even without our WINGERS( yes i know they are )we shouldve had liverpool .well played by them but even so drogba lamps cole thats some attack.btw robben was clearly injured at least i hope that was the reason for his below par game i know lamps and terry are as well but theyre obviously made of sterner stuff look were champions none of us should be arguing .cmon liverpool we all want you to do it ,cos well be there next year 3rd time lucky
