£260 for a PSP?

I went down this market place in melton (england) which they only have on a bank holiday monday...its massive

Anyway on nearly every stall they were selling copied games and movies lol. Got to this stall and this guy was selling some DS games so I went to check it out...My dad came with me and he asks "have you got any PSP's for sale" and the guy said no i sold them all but ive got mine here. He said he could get some more and sell them to me for £260 (that was what he sold his other for)

I wanted to have a look cuz i might be buying one...he came round and showed me and there was an old woman behind the stall telling him what to do lol. She was going "no dont start it up put it in the other mode to show him what it can do with the movies and MP3s".

We got chatting abit and he says it makes the DS look like the original GameBoy and i was saying the games for th PSP dont last long cuz there just racing games...anyway he was going on about he got his first from japan and he went to E3 and hes going to E3 and i dont know if this is true but he seems to think you can run PS3 games on the PSP? Sounded odd to me...After watching him play Wipeout Pure i wasnt really convinced...its nothing new really...ok its nice and smart but thats not what makes gameplay and my worst game type is racing and all thats out on the PSP really are racing games

When me and my dad left my dad said "what are the chances hes never had a girlfriend and lives with his mum"...2 minutes later we seen him and the old bird snogging! He must have been late 20's and she must have been late 50's!

Lol gd read , I myself want a psp but not for games.

Seeing as there is no(logical) point in having a media center in your pocket (thats MY opinion) that can play games for 3 hours, i'd rather watch or listen to stuff.

If I wanted portable games, DS.

Definitely another one of those total dumbasses that doesn't know what on earth he is actually selling much less how it works. Having said that, £260 may sound like total overkill, but there are people that will pay that much, which is why he is charging it.

Reminds me of a guy who has a stall at the PC fairs here... REALLY REALLY weird, but he sells mods for the PS2 like the swap cases and stuff. A while agi I bought a PS2 - USB adaptor from him and I asked for a receipt... he started at me blankly for about a minute, then said:

"errrr.... the boss usually does the receipts... cos I'm a bit.... wooooooo..... (starts nodding his head for about 10 seconds).... woooooo.... know what I mean?"

Very weird and scary... I just grabbed the receipt (which actually made little sense when I read it ) and then backed away very slowly

lol... if you ever go to the pc fair at aylestone, go in, turn left and check out the weird looking guys selling ps2 accessories etc... you'll see what I mean

That's nothing. Before the PSP came to the States, there were guys from Japan selling them on eBay for around $900.

A bloke in Leicester market is selling them for £280....a slight piss take me thinks.

But the wait till september will kill me, my little bro got one from ebay and it's superb

I didn't hear about that no (what did he do?), but I know what you mean... it is hard to trust people on Ebay for big items. Saying that, if you take steps to protect yourself when you sell *and* buy, you are fine 99.9% of the time. I've never had any major probs.
