Just lately for some reason it seems I have been watching/buying an awful lot of comedy films that fall into the bracket of "stupid but funny"... you know the type, films like Airplane or Naked Gun fall into this bracket... basically the type of thing Beavis & Butthead would "uh-huhuhuhuhuh" at  I'm just wondering how many of the rest of you have a similar sense of humour and can get enjoyment out of this type of thing? ;D A lot of people I know turn their noses up at what many would refer to as "toilet humour", but I love it and can get a cheap laugh out of anything. I suppose I have a fairly low-brow sense of humour, but I don't care  Here's a few of my faves that I've watched or own on DVD: - UHF (Weird Al's film) - Fear of a Black Hat (NWA/rappers spoof documentary, very funny) - Dracula: Dead and Loving it - High School High - Zoolander - Hot Shots 1/2 - Naked Gun series - Airplane - Blazing Saddles - Spaceballs - KUNG POW!!!There's a load more too, but what are your favourite "stupid but funny" films? Heh heh I purchased and watched Zoolander for the first time last week, very funny  A couple of those I really don't like but most are fall on your ass funny hmmmmmm my list goes like this: - Freddy got fingered  \m/ - The Princess Bride - Colourful - not a film but I don't care - Caddyshack - I'm gonna get you suckka! |

bing dude i cant believe u didnt put kung pow down there, i gotta admit the naked gun and hotshots films rule, i'd have to add the waynes world 1/2 and the police academy films tho

Mitch: I dunno, I like all the Naked Guns, and I just bought Dracula: Dead And Loving It cos it's funny as hell imho . In recent years two movies standout to be crazy funny one
being Super Cops an absolute cult classic and Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle a great underated movie. Both movies a must watch and own.

I still need to see White Castle, looks funny as hell! ;D ok here were my options... a) duck the claw and execute a spinning kick, or b) take the claw to the face and roll about on the floor and die. Kung Pow's a classic ;D i have to say here's my list: Kung Pow Naked Gun Scary Movie series That hong kong movie that spoofs street fighter (gotta know the title of this movie... they even had capcom licensing!! ) Love on Delivery (Stephen Chow's 1st ever comedy movie... also one of the most mindless ) Old School That british hip-hop movie where some brit hip-hop dude became a UK parliamentary representative (gotta know the title of this movie... which one of you guys know this gem?) Zoolander (i started to do that "look" thing in the mirror a lot ever since i've watched this... and my friends are starting to get annoyed by it) gotta buy the dvds of these movies ;D |
