I like an acoustic version of a metal song every now and then. I actually prefer the acoustic of saliva's "your disease" over the original.

or how "a motha fucka is gonna get beat down at tha club". Fifty Cent would go back to his club and fucking stay there if it was up to me ;D I like a lot of acoustic stuff, but I am more into heavier stuff and prefer bands like KSE, God Forbid, Shadows Fall etc etc. Funnily enough though, I am actually listening to some Jimi Hendrix right now... all along the watchtower. Now that's a classy song Kaz

garage = garbage I'd agree with you on that... but the way you feel about rock/metal/punk etc etc is basically the same way I personally feel about pop and almost all RNB and rap. The way I look at it is I like to hear music where the performers have some talent (like being able to play an instrument or sing well live), and a lot of todays music has none of that at all. Before anyone goes crazy I don't think the same way about all non-rock stuff as many other artists do have talent, but it really isn't my sort of thing... but I'll at least respect talented individuals even if I hate their stuff But writing Rap Songs is also a kind of talent, as well as making your lyrics fit to the beat. Of course there are also some who only do it for the money with no talent at all, that mostly sucks, and all the other talented Rappers with good lyrics just dont get the attention they need. I also listened to some Metal, but only one band, forgot their Name though, but I still know their songs' titles. Eh....garage=garbage.....yeh! I'm not sure if your kidding or not but i definately believe the term "I don't get the point of that Music." would totally sum up the title of the song you mentioned in my point of view. I like rap music but i believe it is slowing going down the drain (if not ruined already) with all the "hip" talk about how many cars somebody has or how "a motha fucka is gonna get beat down at tha club". Stuff like that is being churned out constantly cause of its simplicity and is very silly imo. Yea, but you cant judge a song by its title......okay, this song may not have a special message, and it really hasn't, but what I mean is all the screaming around in Metal, if I would listen to rock , then only those slow rock songs. And you are right about all that Mainstream hip hop, I also found that old stuff rap better, such as Eazy E, Tupac or Bone, thugs & Harmony, but almost all of them have already been killed or are too old.

me i don't hate it. i just don't like the fact that mainstream rap spawns so many annoying wannabes among its fans that doesn't even have talent and style. lots of those guys where i live at, and even though i'm no hip-hoppin' kinda guy, it's pretty safe to say i'm better than the so-called "rappers" in our area . they don't even have rhythmn for crissakes... actually, i kinda like rnb too, just as long somebody doesn't keeps on playing the same darned RnB song every minute...

I also listened to some Metal, but only one band, forgot their Name though, but I still know their songs' titles. Eh....garage=garbage.....yeh! That was basically my point... all we get in the charts these days are wankers like 50 cent etc etc etc and a bunch of kids who try to act like them (a certain ex-member here springs to mind ), while the actual talented artists don't get any attention . As I said above, I am not saying that all non-rock/metal is not talented, it's just not my thing personally. People here are saying talented rappers etc don't get attention, and I can appreciate that because it is also the same for rock/metal artists.... 9 times out of 10 all you hear is people say "its just a bunch of ppl jumping up and down screaming" and they don't seem to understand how much talent it takes to actually PLAY an instrument and to write good songs, mainly because they have grown up listening to manafactured shit... if u know what I mean.
