I'll definitly buy the ports too. Having already purchased KOF Rebout, KOF 2k-2k4 and Metal Slug 3 I plan to also get garou, the last blade collection, Metal Slug 4-5, Neowave and NGBC.

It's just one of my buddies buys every single video game based on every single anime ever since he got his ps2 modded. For some crazy as hell reason Bandai makes the Obligitory video game for every anime and it drives me mad. It's not as if they make horrible games in every aspect. They usually have great music and visuals but all seem to have an extremely mediocre if not simple as hell battle system imo. |

I hate EA, although I wouldn't want them to stop making games... for 2 reasons: 1. SSX series is still good, and they do make the other occasional half decent games. 2. So long as EA are making games, the mainstreamers will have something to play... perhaps this keeps them away from wrecking other good series by other good companies... usually once something becomes popular with the masses, the games publishers see a way to make money and order them to make changes to make it more suitable for mass consumption... if you know what I mean? For this reason I am glad that Fifa Soccer is more popular than Konami's Pro Evo series. Pro Evo is the true hardcore football fans game, while Fifa is for mainstreamers who can't understand how to play Pro Evo. I hate EA's Fifa, but I don't mind it existing cos it lets the rest of us real football fans play a proper game in peace  Kaz |

I get your point but at the same time i get worried about companies that actually make great games and are constantly competing with EA like Sega Sports not selling as much as they should and discontinuing the series. It seems almost everyone i know buys the latest EA sports games and WW2 games each year while games like Call of Duty and Sega sports titles don't get the deserved support. Just like with the Pro Evo series it seems that the main stream "pop" market nowadays only cares about a game that is "Simple & Pretty" and not about how deep or fun it is. Just like with my love of SNK games, all my Fav. companies seeem to be the ones that are the least popular by the mainstream and don't sell as much. I'd just hate to see another good company go down. Thank goodness Sega decided to keep making software after they crashed. |
